That's A Lot

Amelia's POV- December 2020
"Is that?"

Will? Yup that was him.

"It is" I confirmed.

I turned to Gavin as the gate to Andrea's house began to open. 

"I did not know he'd be here, and Andy didn't warn me," I told him.

I reached over and took his hand when I saw it was going up to his hair,

"He's got a suitcase, so he's heading out. It will be quick" I said.

Gavin grimaced,

"He's all bark, no bite" I stated.

To which he mumbled,

"Sure he is"

Once the gate was fully open, Gavin pulled the car into the driveway. I slipped on my mask and turned to Gavin.

"Love you," I told him.

He smiled and tiredly rubbed his eyes.

"You better"

I squeezed his bicep before stepping out of the car. 

"Hey, you" I greeted.

Will tilted his head as I approached him

"Looking as Amish as ever" I noted.

He rolled his eyes as he adjusted his mask,

"Andy let you inside?" I asked.

He snorted,

"No, she converted the shed for me"

I nodded,

"You okay?" I asked.

He nodded,

"Yeah, just had a bit of a rough week at work. I needed to clear my mind, so I thought why not visit Drea. She mentioned you were coming, so I figured why not stay till the morning and drink lots of coffee during my shift later"

I hummed,

"It has nothing to do with the blonde in the car"

"Of course not" I chided.

His eyes squinted,

"You look good, Ellie"

He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his hoodie.

"So it looks like we're all heading back to sunny California"

"I wouldn't call San Francisco sunny" I noted.

"Better than NYC"

True.

"When do you head back?" I questioned.

He glanced over at Gavin's car.

"Is he planning on getting out?"

"I wanted a moment with you," I said.

He hummed,

"The plan is to head back mid-January"

Good, good.

"I do need to find a new place"

"What's wrong with your...old one?" I asked.

He took a deep breath.

"Kim and I broke up"

I furrowed my brows.

"How long ago?" I questioned.

"March"

Wait, what?

"Why am I only finding of this now?" I wondered.
