So I Was In The Neighborhood

Amelia's POV- September 2019
I quietly unlocked the front door and smiled at Gavin who stood on the other side,

"Hey"

I smiled.

"Hi" I greeted.

He leaned against the doorway.

"So I was in the neighborhood"

A grin formed on his handsome face as I laughed,

"You do realize the time?" I asked.

It was 3 AM and I honestly didn't mind that he was here.

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep"

"Did you even try?" I wondered.

He smiled.

"No"

I reached for his hand,

"Come on, we've both got to be up in a couple of hours," I told him as I reached for his hand.

He leaned in for a kiss.

"We do?"

I nodded before he pecked my lips.

"Yeah, I'm dropping you off on my way to work" I replied.

I closed the door behind him and made sure to lock it.

"Lead the way"

When we reached the stairs, he turned on his phone's flashlight and quietly followed me up. 

"This way," I told him directing him to my room.

Once we were in my room, he looked around.

"Is that a hammock?"

Well, yes and no.

"Dean certainly treats it like one, but it's for aerial yoga" I responded.

He nodded,

"Is it me or is your room much colder than the rest of the house?"

"I like it cold" I noted.

He smiled,

"Amelia, it's freezing in here"

The jean jacket he was wearing and the holes on his jeans weren't really warming him up.

"It helps me sleep better" I stated.

He was certainly not dressed for bed,

"Let me get a pair of Dean's sweatpants from Val's room," I told him.

He nodded and slipped off his jacket to reveal he was wearing a long-sleeve T-shirt. I went to get the pair of sweatpants from Val's room and made my way back.

"Here you go," I said tossing him the pants.

"Can I change here?"

"Yeah" I answered.

He changed out of his jeans and into the sweatpants. As he did that, I raised the thermostat a bit and retrieved a hoodie for him from my closet.

"You know, for a Wisconsin guy, you sure can't handle the cold" I noted as I handed him the hoodie.

He chuckled as he slipped on the hoodie.

"Sassy"

I rolled my eyes and climbed up on the bed.

"It fits you perfectly" I stated.

"Is this your Prohockey sweater"

"It was one of them, I wore it when we traveled since it was baggy" I replied.
