32) Shopping Shenanigans

Where Dashi attempts to enlighten Tweak on the wonderful world of shopping. Tweak isn't convinced. Also paired with the writing prompt: Write a scene beginning with the line: 'Don't you want to look sophisticated and elegant?'

HopToIt: honestly, no

HopToIt: I've got on all these years with vague indifference to fashion, I'm not about to start now

PrettyPinkPhotographer: But so many colours would look good on you! You have pink, which suits any girl, then you've got your beautiful mint fur which goes with lots of pretty colours

HopToIt: and most outfits don't seem to look good with a tool belt

PrettyPinkPhotographer: bet you could make it work tweaky

HopToIt: flattery will get you nowhere

PrettyPinkPhotographer: ;)

HopToIt: honestly Dashi, I'm an engineer

HopToIt: I don't need pretty outfits most of the time

HopToIt: I get covered with oil or soot most days anyway when working

PrettyPinkPhotographer: every girl should have pretty clothes

HopToIt: still not going shopping with you

PrettyPinkPhotographer: But the Octopod's stopped off for repairs at this port!

PrettyPinkPhotographer: and there's an amazing clothes centre just down the road from here

HopToIt: nothing's stopping you from going dashi

PrettyPinkPhotographer: But I'll get loooneely :'(

HopToIt: I thought clothes were alive, clothes made statements, clothes made company

HopToIt: and, I quote, 'clothes are your friends'

PrettyPinkPhotographer: But it's not the same as having a friend there for advice and back up

HopToIt: why do you need back up for clothes shopping?

PrettyPinkPhotographer: it's a dangerous business

PrettyPinkPhotographer: you have to fight to get the clothes you want at the right price

PrettyPinkPhotographer: it's like a non-formal competition of wills

HopToIt: ... and this is supposed to convince me to come ... how, exactly?

PrettyPinkPhotographer: oh c'mon tweaky

PrettyPinkPhotographer; pleeaaase

PrettyPinkPhotographer: you're the only other female on this ship

HopToIt: why can't you get someone else to do it

HopToIt: I'm.sure some of the boys have much more experience than I do in the mysterious movements of clothes

PrettyPinkPhotographer: I tried :/

PrettyPinkPhotographer: I tried to get my boyfriend to come first

HopToIt: shellington going clothes shopping?!

HopToIt: this I have to see

PrettyPinkPhotographer; but he wasn't a lot of help on the whole 'choosing clothes' thing

PrettyPinkPhotographer: I mean, it's nice and all when your boyfriend is assuring you that you look stunning in every outfit, but I kind of need a more critical mind than that
