A/N) A short one based on the prompt: 'Write a scene based on the words 'lantern' and 'kelp'.' I've had this prompt on my inbox for a while now so I figured I might as well do something with it.
I imagine Tunip and Tomminow as the two mostly literate ones in this while the other Vegimals can't spell as well... The other Vegimals are all sharing one account while Tunip, Barrot, Grouber, Codish and Tomminow have their own by the way, as I think they are the 'main' Vegimals. I can imagine Barrot and Grouber like Tunip's right hand men, with Tominnow the intelligent one helping out and Codish the baby of the group :)

ScottishScientist: heya Vegimals, how are you getting on with collecting the kelp for the feast?
ShipsCook: it's going okay
SoleVegFemale: we found lots of orange kelp growing in a clump around some rocks
SoleVegFemale: and some green kelp floating around
SoleVegFemale: and some tiny blue fish even showed us the way to a tiny blue kelp stash
ScottishScientist: sounds like it's gonna be an excellent feast!
ShipsCook: now we're just trying to stop Grouber eating it all before we get home :/
ShipsCook: Barrot's trying to distract him
SoleVegFemale: easier said than done
FOODFOREVA: KEEELLP
ScottishScientist: o_o I assume that's Grouber
ShipsCook: yeah he's got the phone at the moment
ShipsCook: I don't trust him with it
SoleVegFemale: Grouber pass it to Barrot

BabyVeggie: I'm carying the lanten!

ScottishScientist: aww don't worry codish, you'll be fine
ScottishScientist: you've got the big boys to protect you
ShipsCook: Is that supposed to mean me
ScottishScientist: ideally, yes, but it works for Barrot and Grouber too
Bass+Carrot: if you can get Grouber to concentrate on anything other than his food

ShipsCook: you didn't give Grouber a kelp basket to carry, did you Tommy?
SoleVegFemale: I'm not stupid, Tuni
SoleVegFemale: even I know that we still need kelp for the feast, and giving it to Grouber is basically guaranteeing that there will be none left

ShipsCook: three of the younger Vegimals begged to carry them, so i let them for a little while
SoleVegFemale: ... which ones?
ShipsCook: um Sharchini, Salepeño and Carprika, I think (I love the Vegimals' names!)
Bass+Carrot: er, hate to tel u this, but Salepeño is here holding my hand...
ShipsCook: and he's not carrying a basket filled with kelp?
