Daksh Chopra

After ending the call with my friends, I smiled looking at the little girl in front of me. My daughter. My Nakshatra, my star. So, the mother of my daughter is my moon and my daughter is my star who brightens my whole life which represents the nights of the earth. I know I made a mistake in letting go of Nila, but I thought that's what best for her, but my bad it turned to be bad for both of us.

"Mhmm." The tapping of the little hands on my cheeks brought me back. I laughed looking at the little girl who was waiting for my attention.

"Yes, my baby." I took her in my arms and twirled around to hear the beautiful giggles of my nine-month-old daughter. "You look so happy with me, your Appa, but your Amma is always grumpy my Jaan." Muttering I kissed her nose to which she giggled. I playfully narrowed my eyes at her. "So, you're enjoying to see your Appa in this situation you little devil."

"Because she knows what her Amma went through." I sighed hearing her voice. She's not the same after she left me. "And how many times should I tell you that you're not her dad." Scowling at me she took Nakshatra from me.

"And Nila how many times should I remained you no matter what that I'm her dad." I grinned at her. Nila in turn glared at me. She was about to speak when Nakshatra stretched out her arms and opening and closing her little fingers asking me to pick her up. "Look my daughter accepts me as her father it's just you who don't."

"Because she doesn't know that the person who she's thinking as her dad is not her real dad and also doesn't know that you're a person who won't jump into any conclusions given at the time." She snapped at me.

I was about to retort when the chubby hands cupped my cheeks. Sighing I breathed out loudly. I don't want to fight in front of my daughter.

"Look Nila we'll talk about it after she sleeps," I replied to her in a stern voice.

"Like I'll listen." She gritted her teeth. Wrong move my girl!

Nila was about to take a step when I grabbed her wrist and tugged her towards me. I was loving the look on her face. From seconds of being in a shocking version, it turned into anger. "What..." She opened her mouth to speak when I pecked her lips in a fraction of a second. I wanted to kiss her, but I've got a child in my arms and I'm not gonna do it!

"Never snap back at me baby, because you won't like the consequences," I whispered loud enough for her to hear it. Those brown eyes of hers do something to me, and I know what it does. It may sound cliche, but hey, that's what I feel. The butterflies, the stampede of animals everything.

The loud giggles of Nakshu broke our gaze on each other, and yeah that's what I call my daughter. Nakshu. Her name is so big so as a dutiful father I need to shorten it. I turned to meet my gaze on her beautiful gaze. She's the third woman who rules my heart and I will do anything to protect her.

"Is my princess hungry?" I cooed at her, whilst Nila wiped the drools of Nakshu which were currently wetting my shirt. Not that I mind! "Now we should ask Amma to make something for us because both her boyfriend and her daughter are hungry." I continued to coo at Nakshu who was obvious to anything was giggling. Ah, that giggle just warms my heart!

Nila rolled her eyes and went towards the kitchen to make some dinner for us. "Did you notice it princess your Amma didn't deny the fact that I'm her boyfriend?" I squealed to her who just continued to look at me like I'm mad.
