Chapter 22

Life with Navya is a roller coaster ride. In this one month of dating her, I came to know that she's the craziest and funniest human on the earth and also who loves to prank on others. This girl makes me do things that I've never done in my life. For instance, she made me flirt with a waitress just because I lost a bet. The lesson I've learned is, 

Never ever bet with Navya Tandon. 

Coming to her friends, I met Hazel whose quite similar to my choco in attitude. Those two girls can literally flip the place in a minute. Hazel has threatened me that if I ever hurt her best friend that will be my last day on this earth. When I said the same to Navya she told me 'It's not a big deal' while quoting those words. 

And about the guys, they're fun to hang out with. I was shocked when I learned about Jeremy and Aaron. It's not that I oppose them. I don't judge people on their race, color, or gender. What I believe is pure heart, which the surrounding people have.

Taking Navya on several dates, improved our relationship— mostly mine. I started to see a future—a future only with her. Sometimes I do think I'm going fast, but the moment I see her face, it tells me that I'm doing the correct thing. She helps me out in overcoming my fears. Now I constantly catch up with everyone in the family. Even with Harleen dadi and Tejpal dadu. 

Dadu always teases me to death about Navya. On how he predicted my future. He keeps on saying that, 'If you're destined to be with someone, no force can separate them from being together'. Maybe that's what keeps me pulling towards Navya. She has already talked with my whole family and everyone went bonkers. The girls and Navya talk way too much, sometimes I have to end the call abruptly. Even Prerita and Vihaan have grown close to Navya. 

It's like she has wrapped my family around her fingers. Whatever thing concerns me the first thing is they call Navya and ask her opinion on it. I wonder how the hell did she do that? Some black magic has to be done. And coming to her family, her dad and her sister have met me and approved her choice. Ruhi keeps calling me Jiju. But for a change, I like that. It makes me feel even closer to Navya. Now I get the reason why everyone's eyes went wide on hearing my name in the first place. The reason is my choco. 

In three weeks it's my choco's birthday. Her first birthday with me. Man, it's my girlfriend's birthday. I like the feel of calling her, my girlfriend. The kisses we share, the dates we go on. All these things feel so good to me. But lately, I've been observing choco, she just dwells in her thoughts. When I look at her—her eyes scream to tell me something. A thing which she's hiding from me. I can't push her to tell me, I'll wait for her because we have a lifetime to settle things. 

Now I'm currently in her home, with her lounging on the couch resting her head on my lap. When I called her this morning she sounded so dull, that it clenched my heart. The moment I reached her home, she just threw herself on me and cried. Let me tell you it scared the shit out of me. Thank goodness none of her family members were there. Her sister had gone out with friends and her parents were working. I kept stroking her hair until she calmed down. 

I don't know what happened—but one thing I'm sure there's fear in her eyes— the fear of losing me. But why would she lose me?

I'll never leave my choco's side. Her soft hands on my cheeks brought me out of my thoughts. She kissed my lips slowly, but even before I can respond she broke the kiss. Come on—she can't do this! I'll need cold showers, how can she understand the pain of cold showers. 

"Sharav", she whispered my name with such emotion that it broke my heart, it was like she's in pain. "Sharav I need to tell you something. Else the guilt will kill me", she uttered. Guilt, kill—these words are currently scaring me.
