Navya Tandon

"Hey! Everything's gonna be okay? Alright?", Sharav uttered and kissed my forehead. Well, nothing is gonna be alright because I'm returning to India after—I don't know after how many years. I'm going to India to meet my parents—my birth parents. I'm nervous as hell. Nodding at him, I sighed at looked out the window. Fluffy clouds around me, with my hands etching to touch them. Well—will I feel them?

And about my birth parents, Sharav showed me their recent picture and I must say they've aged much. He told me how they're dealing with their current life and how they adopted a girl who faced a similar situation as me. Once, I cried when I heard their voice. It was so evident that they were missing me. Worrying about me. They were talking to Sharav like he's their son. I was a bit jealous about it. Just a bit.

And when the jerk of my boyfriend came to know my teeny weeny jealousy, he teased the hell out of me. But like the mature one, he was asked me not to be jealous because no matter what in the end they'll be my parents. I smiled. Looks like everything is falling into the places.

When Sharav told me about us meeting my parents a month ago, I nearly freaked out. I shut him off. Didn't speak to anyone 'cause I didn't know how to handle it. Then it was my parents who made me understand the situation.

"Hey, baby! I know that you're scared to meet them. But they're your parents right. The one who gave birth to an angel who happened to be our daughter, right?", my dad asked me and I just nodded my head not knowing what to answer.

"This is what you wanted right? You prayed for their well-being all these years.", my mom asked me and again I nodded my head. "Then you have to meet them. You even wanted to see them right. Then what's stopping you now. Look now you know where they're and what they're! It won't be good on your part that even after knowing where they're, you ain't seeing them. Just go see them baby", my mom kissed my forehead.

I cried hugging both of them. These two are the best in the world. "And when you see them, thank them for giving birth to an angel. And I'll proudly tell that you're my daughter, Navya Tandon.", said dad with tears in his eyes. And mom nodded at his words.

"You guys are the best parents in the world. You that right", I asked them chuckling.

"Tell us something we don't know", dad's reply cracked me up. Smiling at him, I hugged him and mom hugged us too. But there's always a devil in your family.

"You guys are family hugging without me. How rude", I heard a voice say.

"Come here my drama queen", I pulled Ruhi into our hug. Then I decided. I need to face my fears too. Fears of meeting my birth parents.

Someone's nudge brought me out of my past scene. I turned to see Sharav looking worriedly at me. What happened to him? "Hey you, alright?". I could sense the concern in his tone. Placing my palm on his hands which were currently cupping my face, I nodded positively at him.

"Good, 'cause I got worried. I've been calling you for the last five minutes and you were deep in your thoughts.", He sighed. "Now up, we got a leave the plane, before they kick us out." I heard him say. What? When did the plane even land?

"When you were in your deep thoughts", Sharav spoke. Wait did I just say that loud. But as the understanding guy he is, he cleared my confusion. "No. You didn't speak out loud. I just came to know about your thoughts, looking at your facial expression." Awe! That's so cute.

"And choco", I heard him call me as we were walking down the makeshift stairs of the plane.

"Hmm"
