Navya Tandon
"Navya!! Still, you haven't completed your journal? You have already crossed your deadline!", my friend Hazel Archer whispered yelled at me in her thick British accent. Ripping my gaze from my monitor, I made her sit on the nearby chair. I just kept looking at her. Instead, she narrowed her eyes at me.
"Jeez!! Calm down, woman. Take a deep breath. In and out!", I did the same along with her. After doing it for a few minutes, she exhaled a big amount of oxygen for the last time.
"Why didn't you complete your journal yet?", she asked me calmly this time. In reply, I gave her a cheeky grin as a reply.
"Wait a minute! This look of yours is creeping me out", she told me, whilst I pouted at her.
"Girl will you answer my question or not?", she asked me in an annoyed tone.
"Yes! I did. I completed the journal two weeks before itself. And submitted on the same day", I replied to her coolly and turned my gaze to my monitor.
"WHAT?", Hazel yelled. In a swift moment, I shut her mouth with my palm.
"Shush! Do you want that stupid boss to fire you?", I inquired her.
"Why will he fire me alone? He'll fire you too right?", she asked me in a confused manner.
"No babes! He can't fire me, because I'm leaving my job", I smiled at her. Hearing my reply her eyes went wide as saucers.
"What? Why? How? When?", she started her ranting. This girl and her 'WH' questions. I sighed at her.
"He threatened me that he'll fire me if I don't give in to his manly needs. So I'm leaving myself before he can fire me. And now that guy, Alex tops in my list", I grinned at her.
This person annoyed me, is the name of the list. Giving a tap on the tip of her nose, I raised from my chair and headed towards my so-called boss' room.
After hearing a faint 'come in', I entered his cabin. My boss Alex Kingsley, was a handsome man with filthy thoughts. He was looking at me from top to bottom, which made me form my palms into a fist.
Don't do anything stupid till you handle him your letter. My subconscious prompted me.
Faking a smile at him, I placed my letter on his sleek desk. Seeing the letter, he raised an eyebrow at me, which meant that I should explain to him, what that letter contains.
Nitwit couldn't, he open the letter by himself and read it. Oh, right! How could he? He's the great obnoxious Alex who couldn't do a single work. Ugh, can I just punch his face? This was running in my mind currently.
"Mr. Kingsley, this is my resignation letter", I told him and waited for his response.
"Why?", he questioned me.
As if he doesn't know the reason. You jerk!
"My parents are planning to get me married. And he's a resident of India. So I'll be moving there after my marriage", I said to him with confidence in my tone.
"But isn't early to get married? I mean you're only twenty-five right?", he asked me. I really wanna shout what is your fucking problem, but refrained from saying the same. I just nodded my head in response. Sighing he got up from his chair. "Then I can't do anything I presume", he replied to me.
