One and a half years later...
Navya Sharav Ahuja
"... You may now kiss the bride."
I cried looking at my laptop in front of me. Matt and Hazel have tied the knot and I couldn't attend my only best friend's wedding. Those two creatures were secretly dating which got exposed by Aaron. We did tease them and tortured them for hiding their dating life from us. I saw my sister, Ruhi as one of Hazel's bridesmaids. Aaron, Aayush, and Jeremy are standing behind Matt as his best men.
"Shh... Choco don't cry now." Sharav cooed at me which increased my hatred towards him. I turned to see him with a scowl on my face.
"You." I pointed a finger at him. "If it, wasn't you or your so-called little warriors, I would've been able to attend my best friends' wedding. I would've been the maid of honor. And now I couldn't, it's all because of you." I gritted my teeth at him. I heard the laughter echoing from the laptop. Turning towards the device, I was about to yell at them, but it was the newly wedded couple looking at me.
"Aww, baby it's okay. Even if you couldn't attend you attended it virtually right." Hazel asked me and I nodded my head. "Don't worry, after our honeymoon, we'll surely come to visit you and those jellybeans of yours." I grinned at them. Sharav sighed at my mood swings.
Bidding them goodbye, I rested on the couch with my legs plopped on the center table with my hands rubbing my eight months belly. Yes, I'm pregnant. Of course, with twins. I'm already loving them so much. From the minute I came to know I was pregnant; I went ecstatic with the news and so did Sharav.
The dream of having a family with Sharav Ahuja came true.
But boy, that guy, who happened to be my husband, passed out after the doctor told us we're having twins. It took half-hour for him to wake up. The first sentence that came out of his mouth, made me stupefy, and I still remember the words.
"The curse is working!"
Like what the hell? I still don't get what took over him the other minute, that he jumped up and down, hugged me so tightly that I was gasping for breath. Then he kissed me so hard, that I was about to faint. Then he knelt on his knees, he then kissed my then still flat belly, and cried. I was shocked. Super shocked.
"Hey babies, it's me your daddy." He whispered and kissed my belly. "And I love your mother so much." I smiled through my tears. For a minute, I wondered who was having mood swings, him or me.
"Hey, here's your fruit." The plate and the voice in front of me brought me back early days of pregnancy. I made a face when I saw the plate. It had the fruit, which I hate the most. Pomegranates.
I made my irresistible puppy face. "No. I'm not gonna give in this time. It's actually pretty good for you. It'll help in increasing your hemoglobin and...." He went with his lectures. I sighed and started eating. It's better to eat than hear his lectures.
"Okay! I got it. Now please for the sake of babies stop it." I glared at him which made him shut his mouth instantly. He opened his mouth to speak when I felt a pain in my stomach. "Oii." In a second Sharav was on the floor with his hands on my belly and a worried look etching his face.
"Nothing to worry about Sharav. Seems like your babies are kicking each other." I giggled, and I gasped when I felt another kick. "I wonder what got them so excited?", I asked Sharav, smiling fondly at my belly.
"Maybe they're crazy like their mother, whose mood changes swiftly." He replied jokingly. But tears made through my eyes. I tried to control it, but I couldn't hold it back. He looked startled and cupped my face. "Baby what happened? Why are you crying?" I sobbed even more. The stupid hormones.
