Sharav Ahuja

"What if I say you're the one who is healing her?"

I sat numbly on hearing those words. I'm healing Navya? How on earth I could heal her when I didn't do anything in the first place. Okay, something is wrong with the Tandons. I shook my head at him. No, I can't heal her!

"Umm... Uncle, I think you must be mistaken, how can I heal her?", I shook my head vigorously as no. Come on he must be saying this to confront me, make me feel comfortable.

"You're the one Sharav. For the past four years you're healing her", he smiled at me. Four years? I met her only once in Paris then how can I heal her from the past four years.

"Navya had nightmares", his voice broke my thoughts. "We took her to every therapist who could help her overcome her nightmares. But all in vain. She'll take sleeping pills to sleep peacefully. But she stopped taking the pills after she met you."

I looked at him with disbelief. What the hell is he saying? "From the moment she met you, she stopped taking sleeping pills. My family thought she was still taking them. But a few months ago she told us she stopped taking them for four years. And it's all because of you".

I couldn't even utter a single word. I helped my choco to sleep. To overcome her nightmares? "She said it's you, because the love she had for you, healed her. Everything about you healed her. And I got my daughter back, whom I wanted to see. My Navya—to live without any nightmares and sufferings. I couldn't thank you more Sharav." Saying this he held my hands, which were shivering.

"You healed her, now it's time for her to heal you. Allow her to do and weave a future together!", saying this he stood up from his seat. "I hope you have understood everything which I wanted to say. Now it's your turn to solve the mess you created. Make sure you don't break my daughter's heart again or you won't see the next day's sunrise", I gulped at his threat and just nodded my head.

Patting me on my shoulder he left the diner. All my thoughts drifted back to the girl who has captured my heart. She said to her family that I healed her. How more can she love me? Each action of her is making me fall for her. Fall so badly for her. Not that I complain.

My heart just burst with happiness, whilst my eyes were filled with tears. Damn her! Wiping my tears, I stood up because I've many things to plan for her birthday. I'll make you happy my choco. I'll do anything for the smile to take a permanent place on your face.

I promise you that!

Passing through many vehicles, I reached the department store. Grabbing the necessary things, I paid for the same and made my way to my home.

It was around six, I completed baking the cake for her — of course, a chocolate cake. I put that in the fridge and went to decorate my place. I know she can't come to my house, but I'll ask my uncle's permission anyway.

Why take a risk!

Decorating my place with helium balloons of blue and white, I looked at the ceiling. It was filled with balloons. Birthday banners along with sorry banners. Party poppers and I placed my gift on the table. After doing everything single-handedly I plopped myself on the couch. I looked at the clock which showed it was eight now. On cue, my stomach growled reminding me to eat something.

On reaching the fridge, I opened and ate some leftover pasta which I made this morning. I ate hurriedly because I wanted to talk to Navya. Hear her scoldings and all. I gulped imagining her angry form It's gonna be a long night tonight.
