Sharav Ahuja
Everyone left after the party—including Choco. My family teased the hell out of me after everyone's dispersal. And now they're sleeping without any disturbance in the world. Sitting in the living room, I'm currently handling the two active toddlers. A one one-year-old and the other one is two-and-a-half-year-old. Since they were sleeping even before the party could get over, I slept with them.
My morning couldn't be any more awesome when these two munchkins of mine woke me up. And now I'm feeding the two some rice and dal since they were hungry. I heard one of the bedroom doors being opened. "Ah! I see someone is already taking training huh!", came the annoying voice of my brother-in-law Viren.
"Maybe or maybe not", I gave him a tight-lipped smile, but he just scoffed at me. The kids were trying to crawl away when Viren and I caught them. "Pa...pa", Vihaan gave a sloppy kiss to his father.
"Yes! My boy", saying this Viren blew a raspberry on his tummy making Vihaan laughing. Prerita too ran towards Viren and hugged him from the back. The sight in front of me made me smile. Who thought that the guy who didn't believe that true love never existed is now a father of a one-year-old? I chuckled at the thought.
"What is brewing in your mind Mr. Ahuja?", Viren asked me whilst making Vihaan sit comfortably on his lap. Prerita came and sat on my lap. I just shrugged my shoulders at Viren. Feeding the two kids at the same time is impossible.
What felts like hours, Viren and I fed the kids, but still, the others were sleeping. "Viren did you add any sleeping pills in yesterday's drink?", I asked him, and he looked at me like with a you're-totally-mad look.
"Man, I'm asking you because none of them are awake except the kids, you and me. So, I thought you must have added something in—", I couldn't complete the sentence when a cushion came flying to my face.
"What the hell?", I screeched at him. Instead, he just gave a fucking toothy grin. Seriously—he's a father of a one-year-old kid. Again, a cushion came flying to my face, this time it was Prerita. "Chachu", saying this she hugged me. Then came the two Khannas with two more cushions and started beating me. Why the hell are they harassing me?
After beating the hell out of me, they slouched on the floor tiredly. Vihaan placed his head on my chest and Prerita sat on Viren's lap. "Why the hell did you harass me—along with the kids if may I add?", I asked him sarcastically.
"Just felt like doing." He replied and shrugged his shoulders "And about them sleeping, they all slept around four in the morning. Chatting all night and might be jet-lagged too. So they won't wake up any time as of now". I looked at with disbelief.
"Till four?", I asked, and he just nodded his head. "But who will take care of the kids, if I go to the company?" I said and he raised his eyebrows at me. "Well, what I'm saying is—you can take care of one kid. But not two kids who are way too active." I completed my sentence and gave him a mocking smile.
In return, he smiled at me. "I'll be the one going to the office today", He pointed to himself, and then he pointed at me "And you'll be the one taking care of the kids. You can even take them out with Navya."
Well, a day out with Navya—of course with kids too. Good idea! When did Viren become a sensible one? "Okay", I replied.
"Well, someone is eager to spend their time with his girlfriend I see", Viren teased me. At the same time, Daksh came and laid his head on Viren's lap. The next second, Viren jerked him off. "What the fu-furnish Daksh!", yelled Viren. Thank goodness the kids were playing a little way from us.
