For the next one week, Navya just shut herself in her room. Didn't talk to anyone nor went to her work. She just locked herself. Her parents grew worried about her. They asked Ruhi who filled in the details for them. Tejal cried on hearing this, and also got angry at Sharav. He hurt her daughter. This was the reason why she opposed this relation at first, 'cause she didn't want her daughter to get heartbroken or cry over her past. Thinking of making a conversation with her daughter, she went to Navya's room and knocked on her room.
When she didn't get any response, Tejal started imagining things that she didn't want to. After a series of knocks, the door was opened by Navya who has lost weight, her puffy eyes, and her disorientated look. The instant Navya's eyes met her mother's she threw herself on her mother and cried her heart out.
"Sh... my strong baby shouldn't cry", Tejal continued to coo to her crying daughter. She made Navya sit comfortably on her bed, but Navya laid her head on her mother's lap. She started stroking her daughter's head. When Navya called her mom for the first time, she felt immense happiness, like she has achieved everything in the world.
Being childless for years, she craved to be a mother. From the time she saw Navya's unconscious body on the road, her body instantly reacted with a motherly feeling. Her heart cried for the little girl with the whipped marks on her body. No kid deserves to be treated like this. She cried silently while tending her wounds. This little girl was a blessing for them, but they searched for her parents.
But when the little girl accepted her husband and her as her parents her happiness knew no bound. Then with the addition of Ruhi, the dream of her little world got fulfilled. Her family. With time, the girls grew, along with Navya's nightmare. She cried when her daughter cried at night or meeting a new person. She didn't want her daughter to live her life like this, she wanted her to live like other kids.
To give her a change of environment they moved to London even knowing the risk. Nonetheless, they moved. For her. They noticed some change in her — a positive change. To which they were very happy. But still, her nightmare haunted her. No therapist or pills could help Navya. But she did notice a complete change in her daughter after her trip from Paris.
She told her about her crush — Sharav Ahuja. Tejal was happy for her daughter. But when she came to know who Sharav was she couldn't let her daughter relive her past, even though he doesn't have anything to do with it. Call her selfish she doesn't care, what she cares about is her daughter's safety. This was the main reason she opposed her relation with him.
Tejal felt so bad when her daughter fought against her, for her love. When her daughter stood for him she could see the love pouring from her eyes for the boy. The same was the condition of Sharav. She noticed him at the party of the Evans. She watched his every movement. And she could bet on her life that the boy— Sharav loves his daughter. But she also knew that he's afraid— afraid that he might hurt people.
She did do a background check on him. Except for his parents, the boy came as a clean record. Not a single black mark on his character or anything. A part of her was happy that her daughter has indeed selected a gem of a person as her love, but her mother side is afraid that she might get hurt—which turned true. He didn't hurt her physically, but mentally he did. This is why she didn't want Navya to have any relationship with him.
"Mom", her train of thoughts is broke when she heard the soft voice of her daughter calling her.
"Yes, my baby", she kissed her forehead.
"Are Sharav and me cursed souls mom? Don't we deserve any happiness in the world?", she heard her daughter ask. She felt bad for both of the kids. Even though she didn't raise Sharav she could say that he earns for parents' love — a pure love. She wiped her tears and her daughter's too.
"Who said you both are cursed? You both are the world's most blessed children." She kissed her daughter's forehead. "You both will live your life full of happiness."
"How can we live, when he shut me off Mom?", Navya's voice cracked with tears brimming her eyes. Still, the image of leaving him is fresh in her mind. "He left me because he thinks he might hurt me mom, which is not true." Tejal continued to wipe her daughter's tears.
"He can never hurt me, 'cause he's the one who heals me mom", Navya sobbed even harder. "He keeps pushing me mom"
"Then try to bring him back. On the right track. Make him understand that he can never hurt you" Tejal made her understand. Navya looked at her mom with a confused face.
"What I'm trying to say is— break his shell, bring him out of the bubble that he'll hurt everyone, or they might get hurt because of him. Make him crazy with your love." Navya kept looking at her mom.
"But mom weren't you against him—against our relationship?", Navya couldn't understand why her mother is supporting now when that idiot boyfriend of her ended their relation.
"Because only you both can heal each other—heal each other with their love." Navya opened her mouth to speak when Tejal cut her off "I know you have many doubts in your mind, but for now put those thoughts aside. Go it your man."
All Tejal wanted was her daughter's happiness. And if that happiness is lying on Sharav she won't stop Navya this time. But she might need some time to accept Sharav. To understand him, his character, and his family.
The soon these words slipped from Tejal's lips Navya hugged the life out of her mother. "Mo- Mom... are you really happy?" To which Tejal nodded her head positively.
"But for now, don't think about him, concentrate on your life, 'cause the time will heal everything. Every single thing. Give him some space for him to understand. I can even say that he'll be now crying buckets of water just like you." To which both the mother-daughter chuckled.
"All I want is your happiness. If that happiness lies in Sharav go get him" Navya nodded her head eagerly and hugged her mom. But Navya couldn't help but think about him,
"All I have to do is now assemble my dumbass boyfriend"
