Sharav Ahuja
Settling beside me in my car, she was looking outside the window while relaxing her head on her arms which are rested on the window frame. She was smiling at whatever was crossing us. The car was filled with comfortable silence, but I desperately wished to hear her voice. I wonder what happened to me?
Well, she's been in there in my mind for what about years, I'm bound to be crazy. Like the word Yarra which means crazy, it suits her, My Yarra Girl. Chuckling at my thoughts, I saw Navya who was in deep thinking.
Please don't tell me that she stills thinks of me as a doppelgänger. How crazy can she get? A minute she agrees to come with me, then another minute she thinks me to be some doppelgänger of myself. This girl will turn me mad.
Halting on the outskirts of the city, I gestured her to come outside. "Okay, now he's gonna slaughter you Navya. That's it, your life has arrived at an end. How pathetic right! You didn't even get a chance to tell your parents, sister, friends, and relatives goodbye. And most importantly Sharav.", she kept on mumbling. I couldn't control anymore that I burst laughing out.
Narrowing her eyes at me, she stood in such a way that she's gonna attack me. Oh, boy! How wrong of me she indeed has planned to attack me! Gathering whatever reached her hands she started throwing things at me. Well, it consisted of twigs, small stones— and some dry leaves.
Seriously dry leaves?
In a swift motion, I turned her around in such a way that her back was touching my front. I could hear her uneven breathing because of the little stunt I did, whilst my heart was also beating rapidly to our intimate position. To make sure she doesn't hear my heart's rapid beatings, I thought of teasing her a bit. So bending down to her ear, I whispered huskily.
"Don't make a decision in haste which might get you in trouble later", to which she shuddered. Oh God, do I have this much effect on her?
Nodding her head, she released the hold on my hand, which was resting on her waist. For others, it might look like I'm hugging her from behind, which is partially true actually. Not wanting to get a cold shower in the early winters, I stepped away from her. She then turned around and looked everywhere but me. I chuckled at her childish behavior. She again narrowed her eyes at me.
Dang, how cute she's looking right now. I just wanted to kiss the hell out of her. What the hell am I thinking? First I need to clear every little thing before I want to take a step in my life with her.
The clearing of my throat, got her attention to which she directly looked into my eyes. Instantly a calmness took over my body, those magnetic honey-colored orbs could even hypnotize me.
Tearing my gaze from the powerful eyes, I sat on the fresh green grass. I patted the space next to me, for her to sit. Nodding her head, she sat beside me, but a little away from me. Exhaling out loudly, I turned towards her. "Look, Navya, I'm not any doppelgänger. I'm the real one okay?", I said to her to which she nodded her head.
"I guess, you still think of me as a doppelgänger, right?", I asked her. She nodded her head as no. "Then why are you so silent Navya?", I sighed at her. This girl's every action affects me.
"I'm not that dumb. Handling one Sharav is enough for me, I can't handle a doppelgänger of you. And I just wanted to cheer you up, so only I came up with the 'doppelgänger' drama", she quoted the doppelgänger word, and I chuckled at her. And my gaze stopped right at her eyes. Her eyes were filled with love for me. Could I even give back a little amount of love she deserves? Shaking my thoughts, I smiled at her.
