Chapter 8

Sharav Ahuja

I was numb after the little stunt she pulled. The things she's doing to me isn't good for me, not me for us. One, she's not supposed to have feelings for me. Two, well-the same she's not supposed to have any feelings for me. That's it.

She'll get hurt, only hurt when she's with me. But she does give me a strange kind of feel- a feel which I want to drown in. But I'm not supposed to be selfish and let her get hurt.

Sighing at my thoughts, I parked the car in my basement and headed towards my penthouse. I couldn't linger at the party after the little stunt. Excusing myself for some emergency, I fled the party.

The constant happenings which are running in my mind are not helping me out. My mind warns me about the hurt she might get, but my heart tells me the happiness she might get. To sort out the confusion, I called the person who can help me.

"Hey Sharav, it seems you forgot your brother?", I heard Sahil say. I pulled the phone away from my ear to check whether I dialed the correct person or not. "Mr. Ahuja you phoned the right person only. But the guy you called now is putting Vihaan and Prerita to sleep.", I heard him say.

"You guys having a boys' night?", I exclaimed at him. These two friends of mine, of which one is my brother and the other is my brother-in-law doesn't like to stay away from their wives even for a night, ditched them for a boys night?

"How's that even possible? When you can't let away your wives for a second!", I exclaimed.

Man what is happening to everyone today!

"Nah! They just wanted to have a girls' night, since it's been years they had taken. Of course, we let them go reluctantly. They're crashing at Nila's place tonight", he sighed at the end. I heard Daksh screams in the background.

"What's Daksh doing?", I asked Sahil, chuckling he replied to me.

"He said he wanted to help Viren in putting the babies to sleep, but both the niece and nephew of yours are pulling his hairs. I think he'll become bald at the end of the call." I chuckled imagining a bald Daksh. Poor Nila!

"Okay, you guys call me back after putting those munchkins of mine to sleep", announcing I hung the call and changed into a gray round neck t-shirt and black track pants. Half-hour later, I got a call- a video call from them.

"What took you guys so long, huh? You couldn't even put two babies to sleep!", I alleged to them.

"We'll say the same when you'll have your kids Mr. Ahuja", Viren glowered at me.

"Now, Mr. Sharav Ahuja, tell us what happened at the party?", it was Daksh who initiated the conversation. Exhaling, I narrated every single detail to them, without missing anything.

After, the completion of my narration, those three sat numb. For a minute, I thought there was a network issue. I was about to cut the call when Viren yelled stating that they're still connected. Are they kidding me? Here I narrated the whole evening, and they just sat numb! Like what the fuck?

"I really don't know what to say!", it was Sahil who uttered first, whilst we three nodded our heads. "I mean she stalked you for years, knows everything about you-like every single thing! And the cherry on top she loves you!", declared Sahil.

"Tell me something which I don't know Sahil", I snapped at him. Sahil just pouts at me.

"That girl must be crazy!", I narrowed my eyes at Viren.

"What don't look at me like that! She must be crazy to be in love with you. Like out of all the men in the world she fell in love with you?", he asked me, whilst I was controlling myself from giving a sarcastic reply.

I lost it when all of them started laughing. "Well, even I can say the same to my sisters and my sister-in-law", I smiled at them sarcastically. They stopped laughing instantly, now it's my turn to laugh at them.

"Okay, now stop laughing and tell us what's worrying you", it was Daksh who asked me this. I was surprised how they knew so well about me.

"It's... it's just I don't want to get her hurt, guys. Even though, I like her. It's just- I think I won't be able to give her the happiness she deserves. She'll be better off without me", I held my face between my hands. The guys just shook their heads.

"Sharav, I know that you're still not opening yourself to us. There's something more. But if you want to overcome your fear, face it. Listen to your heart this time. Not to your mind. Give a chance to this new thing you're feeling, 'cause we want our old Sharav who used to spend time with his loved ones no matter what. I think at the end of your trial, you'll be the old Sharav, whom we knew.", Viren said.

I just nodded my head. "It's a great feel to fall in love Sharav, don't let it go when one is currently chasing you. Take some time to analyze your feelings, if you want to feel her love, embrace it, else just- I don't know, just embrace her love", Sahil said to me.

Seated in silence for a minute, Daksh started to laugh all of a sudden, to which we gave each other a he-finally-achieved-his-final-state-of-madness look.

Viren smacked at the back of Daksh's head to stop him from his laughing illness. "Why are you laughing like a brainsick one Daksh?", Sahil questioned him.

"You know what guys, I'm a witch", announcing this he again started laughing.

Seriously!

"Daksh will you cut the crap and tell me how did you become a 'witch' ", I asked him while quoting the word, witch. Sobering himself, he narrated to me the whole incident which took place at Tara's wedding. At the end of his narration, those three were laughing their ass out, whilst my eyes were as wide as saucers.

"I remember that incident", Viren says between his laugh. I just glared at him to which he just his mouth. But he kept giggling while clamping his mouth.

"Why the hell would you curse me something like this Daksh?", I gaped at him. "What did I ever do to you?"

"Well at that time, I was pissed off by your actions, so I just cursed you to get the most annoying, irritating, and craziest woman as your life partner. And now it happened. Tada!", he grinned at me. I wanted to shoot him down like right now.

"But you do like her right" I just nodded my head "So don't you dare yell at me. And you know what I'm gonna curse you again, to check whether I'm a true witch or not", Daksh faked exclaimed. Viren and Sahil again started laughing at the drama that's happening right now.

"NO... YOU WOULDN'T DO THAT!", I screamed at him, he smirked evilly at me.

"I'm gonna curse you that you'll get married to the same Navya Tandon and have twins with her.", he gave an idiotic curse. The other two were annoyed at him.

"Come on Daksh this is not a curse, it's a boon.", they scowled at him.

Well hello, there I'm still here! They are talking about me and my curse in front of me, it's ridiculous!

"Yeah! Wait for a minute", and we all stayed silent for a minute. "Okay, I curse you that, she'll make you face hell during her pregnancy period. You'll have a boy and a girl, and they'll get the crazy genes from their mother and the Oh-I'm-the-intellectual-one gene from you."

He was smiling like a lunatic, I just scoffed at them. "Like it's gonna happen". They raised their eyebrows at me,

"Trust me it will", the three said in unison. I just shook my head at them.

"Okay, now jokes apart, Sharav as Viren said take some time and give a thought about it. 'Cause I've got a belief that she'll give our Sharav back", Sahil said to me. Nodding at them, I hung the call after bidding them goodbye.

Lounging on the bed, I kept gazing at the ceiling of my room. The conversation I had with the boys, kept running in my mind. I don't know what's in store for me. But the black eyes kept luring me. Ah! I just couldn't get her off my head.

"What are you doing to me, Ms. Navya Tandon?"
