Chapter 19

Mel's POV

I wake up groaning. All I remember is threatening Liz then a pain in my neck blacking out... She vervained me! I open my eyes trying to stretch when I feel my wrists burning. Vervain chains. I look around the room and see that I'm in some sort of cellar.
"Hello Mel." I hear a familiar voice say... Liz?
"Liz? Why am I here?"
'Business... Your kind kill people so I'm going to kill you. "
"What?! You can't! What about my family?! They need me!" Lie!
"I'm sorry Mel."
"Do you really think I wanted to be a vampire? No. Damon turned me!"
"Don't be ridiculous! Damon is on the council supplying vervain for the town."
"He doesn't want you to know that he is a vampire."
"Shut up!" She shouts at me and shoots me. I laugh out loud the pain not effecting me. She shoots me about 5 more times while I just laugh.
"How are you laughing through this?" She asks.
"My humanity is off. I can't feel! I never will!"
"You disgust me." She comes towards me with a stake in her hand. I am not dying again. I kick her knee making her fall to the floor screaming in pain. I pull on the chains making my wrists burn even more but I carry on until the chains break. I walk out of the cellar and lock the door with Liz inside. She will run out of vervain in her system by the end of.... Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's morning so by the end of today if she hasn't drank or ingested it for a while. I go to the town center finding a snack when I see Damon looking around for something or someone. He turns and looks straight at me. He starts running towards me so I vampire speed away but he catches up and pins me up against a tree. I laugh at him when I see his pissed off face.
"What do you want Damon?"
"I want you to return home with your humanity on."
"Have you broken up with Elena?"
"No and I never will." I laugh again. Is he stupid?
"You really are a twat aren't you Damon? I told you that you had to do it by today so whatever happens is your fault."
"You can't go killing anyone if you can't go out."
"Shut up Damon. I'm hungry. Are you in the right state of mind for a bit of Jeremy blood?"
"You can't hurt him. He is your brother!" He shouts at me.
"I told you before. HE IS NOT MY BROTHER!" I growl at him.
"Ok whatever. I'm going to ask you 2 questions and you're going to answer them truthfully. One... Where's Sheriff Forbes?"
"Somewhere you won't find her. She's safe at the moment. But if you don't break up with Elena then she won't be for long."
"Tell me now Melanie." He growls at me.
"Somebody is pissed. What crawled up your ass and died?"
"Don't mess with me Mel. I'm stronger than you at the moment so don't piss me off more than you have."
"Whatever. What is the next question?"
"Why are your clothes bloody and why have you got wooden bullets within yourself?"
"My clothes are bloody because Liz shot me with the wooden bullets because she wanted to kill me but she failed to do that so I'm going to compel her to forget about me being a vampire. I also told her that you're a vampire but she didn't believe me but oh well."
"Where is she?"
"Do you really want to know? Because she might kill you. You're not strong like me." He tightens his grip on my throat so I give him an aneurism. He lets me go and falls to the floor screaming in pain holding his head. I run away from him back into town into a pub. I go up to a man who I find is James from last night.
"Hey James."
"Hey beautiful." I look in his eyes and compel him.
"You will let me drink your blood whenever I want. Got it?" He nods and I go for his neck biting down and taking big gulps. He moans and after a while I stop. Man he is delicious.
"Thanks James."
"Your welcome." I take his hand and take him out the pub.
"You will pretend to be my boyfriend and stay with me at all times." I compel him. He nods and we walk hand in hand towards the boarding house. We go straight on in straight to the living room where the whole gang is. Damon is pissed. Elena is concerned probably for Damon. Jeremy is sat on the couch. Stefan is worried probably for his brother... Ergh. Bonnie is looking confident. Tyler is just sat on the couch with Caroline next to him.
"What's wrong Damon? Pissed that I gave you an aneurism?" All the heads snap up to look at me. Damon growls and lunges for me but James gets in the way therefore Damon biting James' neck. I growl and pull Damon off of him. I bit my wrist and feed James my blood making him heal. I need him to last.
"Who is he?" Damon growls. I smirk and reply with,
"Everyone this is my boyfriend, James." I smile at James and kiss him while he kisses back. Everyone gags and I pull back.
"What is wrong with you Mel? You used to be obsessed with Damon." Elena says. Can't I kill her already?
"That was before you, Elena Gilbert, stole him from me. Therefore I moved on." I reply snarkily.
"You told me that you still loved me." Damon says.
"But then I said that it disappeared along with my other emotions." I say with simplicity in my voice.
"Then why are you with James if you can't feel love?" Asks Jeremy with a 'duh' tone to his voice.
"Just because I can't feel love doesn't mean that I don't want to be with someone. Damon? Have you broken up with her yet?"
"I told you I wouldn't." I shrug and rush over to Jeremy snapping his neck. Everyone gasps and Elena runs to Jeremy's body.
"I told you to do it Damon. Therefore whoever I kill is on you. Anyone, anywhere, anytime." I rush over to Tyler snapping his neck catching everyone off guard. Caroline rushes at me so I send her flying over to the opposite side of the room with my magic. I levitate a chair then make one of the legs snap off. I point it at Caroline and make it hit her chest just below her heart. Bonnie tries using her magic on me so I bring me hand up and flick my wrist sending her across the room. Damon rushes at me at the same time as Stefan does. I rush over to Damon snapping his neck then over to Stefan snapping his. Just Caroline left. I rush over to her pinning her up against the wall then snap her neck. I look over to Elena who looks at me scared.
"What's wrong Lena?"
"You killed your own brother Melanie! How could you?'!"
"He isn't my brother!" I yell at her making her flinch. I rush over to her and pin her up against the wall ripping her necklace off of her neck. I bit her neck drinking and drinking until her heart beat is faint.
"Stop... Mel... This... Isn't.... You...." She says faintly. I pull back biting my wrist feeding her my blood. Once she looks healthy enough I go for her neck again drinking and drinking. As soon as her head slumps I pull back letting her drop to the floor.
"This is the new me Elena. Get used to it. I may let you survive now but next time you won't be so lucky. I don't even class you as family anymore. Everyone is against me because they love you more than they did me. I have nobody."
"You had me, Damon, Jeremy, Bonnie, Caroline... All of us."
"I lost you all the moment I killed myself."
"No you didn't. You had us all until you decided that you wanted to kill me."
"I'm sorry Elena. It's just I felt unloved when you said I meant nothing to you."
"I only said that because I had to convince everyone especially myself that I don't miss you. I'm sorry."
"Don't be. All this is my fault. If I hadn't left with Klaus then I wouldn't have turned it off then I wouldn't have been compelled to turn it back on then feel guilty that I actually killed myself."
"Don't say that. You only left with Klaus because you wanted to save Damon."
"Just when everyone wakes up... Tell them I'm sorry."
"You actually mean that don't you?"
"I do Elena and I don't know why." Elena stands up and gives me a hug when I felt a pain in my back. I pull back from the hug to see Elena holding a vervain needle.
"How... Could... You..." I say before blacking out.
