--4 months later--
Mel's POV
I'm at the doctor's at the moment. I think I'm pregnant. Over the past 4 months, I have been getting bigger and so I need to make sure.
"Melanie Corden? The doctor is ready for you." I nod and walk in. The doctor indicates for me to lie on the bed.
"Ok Melanie. Lift up your top." I nod and lift it up. He puts the gel on and then starts scanning.
"Well. It looks like you have been pregnant for about 5 to 6 months." I look at him wide eyed. 6 months?!?!?!
"I've been pregnant for 6 months?!" I squeak out.
"Yes. Do you know who the father is?" I nod and realise that I can now never go back to Mystic Falls. What would they think if I return with a child?
"What gender is the baby?" I ask.
"A male." I nod and wipe the gel off my stomach. I pull my top down and stand up walking out. I go back to the motel and go straight to my room. I have been pregnant for 6 months and I didn't know. It was before I become a vampire I think. Yeah it was. Oh my God. I'm pregnant with Damon's baby. I have to be. I look at my stomach and place a hand on it. I smile down and say,
"You are going to be a great child. I'm going to love you with all my heart." I sigh and turn on my TV but I can't concentrate on it. I have too much on my mind. Damon doesn't even know I exist anymore yet I am here with his child. What am I going to do? I can't go back. Not now. Not ever. I can't. What am I supposed to say? I look out my window and see that it's getting dark. I go to my bed and lie down. 10 minutes later I'm asleep.

Bonnie's POV
It's been 4 months since Melanie has been gone. It's strange without her here especially when Damon is acting the way he is.
"Damon! How can you not remember ever knowing Melanie?!" I shout at him.
"I don't remember anyone called Melanie. The last thing I remember is being at Elena's house and then walking out confused. There was this girl in a taxi just leaving. She was looking at me with tears in her eyes. But I didn't think of it. I went through my phone contacts and saw this name Melanie. I called her but she told me she doesn't know me. She told me to delete her number and I did. I'm sorry Bonnie but I don't know anyone called Melanie." He says shaking his head at the end. She compelled him to forget!
"Damon! She compelled you to forget about her. She wanted to make sure no one followed her. I got to go. Bye Damon." I walk out and back home. It's been stressful without Melanie here. Everyone wasn't really liking Elena because she lied about Melanie. But everyone is getting along now. I sigh and make my way home. If only Melanie were here right now.
