Melanie's POV

We have been stuck here for 3 whole bloody months. We found this guy called Kai. He told us that there was a way for us to get back to reality. I need to harness the power of this twister thing and there is only one shot at it. At the moment, I am digging this whole into the ground... Kai said to. I may or may not have staked him about 5 minutes ago.... Whoopsy! Once we are in, I jump down and so does Elena. I stand with Elena in the direct sunlight where the solar eclipse will shine brightest. The eclipse starts and we start. Kai then comes out of no where shooting me with an arrow in my chest just below my heart. I spin in the air and land on the floor with the device. Elena just stands there.

"Elena... Help me please." I whimper. She smirks and shakes her head.

"I'm not helping you. I prefer you dead. I only needed you alive so I could get back to reality. I hate you. I always have. I was glad that you had died again. I always have hated you." I spits out. I whimper again. She didn't love me. Why does no one ever love me? I still have to save her. Even if I don't. I breathe out and levitate Elena into the circle. I throw her the device and it clicks. A beam of light shines down and she disappears. I smile. She's safe. I look at Kai and he growls. He rushes at me and bites in my neck but I quickly push him off. I smile cockily at him as he is stuck to the wall opposite.

Damon's POV
Over the last couple of months I have had many many flings. After a week or 2 without Melanie, I asked Klaus if he could compel my love for Melanie away and he did. He told me she was a complete monster. She tortured me. I hate her. I hear a swoosh behind me and see Elena there. She's back?! Where's Melanie?
"Elena? You're alive?" I ask confused.
"Yes Damon. I'm alive." She smiles.
"Where's Melanie?" I ask and her smile fades.
"She wasn't there Damon. I'm sorry." She replies.
"Why are you sorry? She's a monster that tortured me for answers." I growl and she looks surprised. Melanie is permanently dead?! Aw man! I wanted to kill her over again.
"Urm ok? Anyway, where's Stefan?" I ask looking around. Probably at your house talking to baby Gilbert. She nods and rushes out. I can't believe that she's back and Melanie isn't!
