Chapter 82

Mel's POV
"What do you want, Kol?" I ask annoyed and angry that he kidnapped Lil.
"I want you to come with me." He says simply.
"No." I reply shrugging my shoulders. He steps forward and growls a bit.
"Now. Lets rephrase that. Come with me willingly or I compel you." He seethes.
"You're going to have to compel me then." I spit back. I run away from him and just run around as fast as I can. After an hour, I get caught by Kol. I struggle in his grip but he turns me around and looks into my eyes.
"You will do as I say with no argument." He compelled me? He actually did it.
"Can I at least say goodbye?" I ask. If this os my last time to see everyone then I'm going to make this worth it.
"You have till midday tomorrow. Use it." I speed away and back home. Damon and Lillian come rushing over to me. Damon holds my face and inspects it.
"Are you ok, Mel?" He asks. I nod.
"I'm fine." A tear escapes my eye.
"Melanie... What's wrong?" He asks, concerned. Lillian comes over to me. I look at her with a 'go play. me and daddy need to talk.' She nods and goes. I grab a hold of Damon's hand and I drag him to the couch. I sit him down on the couch and I sit next to him.
"Damon.. There's no easy way to say this. I'm leaving." I say.
"What? Melanie! What about Lillian? You can't do this." He says tears streaming down his face.
"Damon. If I had the choice, I wouldn't but I have to." I reply back shaking my head.
"What do you mean?"
"To get Lillian back, I had to make a deal. For you and her to be safe, I have to leave with the kidnapper." I say sobbing straight after.
"When do you have to leave?" His voice cracks.
"Tomorrow midday." I sob. He pulls me into a hug and comforts me.
"I don't wanna go Damon." I sob.
"Then don't." He says.
"You don't understand. I was compelled to do as he says without argument." I mumble into his chest. After an hour, I finally calm down and slowly drift off to sleep. Why am I so sleepy? My eyes close and I'm in dream land.
