Melanie's POV
I wake up gasping for air. I-i'm awake? I'm awake! I squeal and go to stand up but I realise that's a bad idea. I look around and see people surrounding me.
"Melanie? You're awake!" A blonde-haired girl says.
"Who are you?" I ask confused.
"Oh right. You lost your memories. I'm Caroline. That's Bonnie. She's here to help you." I look at Caroline confused when I hear Bonnie muttering things under her breathe and I feel a headache coming on. I groan and hold my head.
"Bonnie! We said to give her her memories back not give her an aneurysm!" I hear Damon say.
"I did. It was a big part of her life she took away so it will give her a headache." Bonnie says. I look up and see everyone but Elena and Jeremy. Wait! I killed Elena! I k-killed Elena by mistake... I killed my own sister. I break out into sobs and Damon comes and hugs me.
"Hey it's ok. It's ok." He says soothingly. But then I remember what he said in my dream he gave me at the start of my coma. I push him away and look at everyone. I shake my head and get off the body. I go to lose my balance but hold onto the bed.
"Get my clothes. I'm leaving." I hear their protests so I shake my head and walk carefully over to my clothes. I grab them and shoo them out the room. I lock the door after them and get changed. I walk out the hospital with everyone following to make sure I'm ok. I need to complete this hunter's mark for Connor. I avenged him and going to complete his quest. I go home and grab my stake from under my pillow. The one Connor gave me. Someone clears their throat and I look up to see Damon there.
"What do you want Damon?" I ask annoyed.
"Nothing much. I'm just curious. Why do you have a stake?" He asks moving closer and I try to hold back the urge to kill him.
"I'm finishing Connor's quest. I suggest you back away Damon. It's hard enough to hold the urge to kill you when you were at the door." He teasingly moves forwards and I move back until I hit a wall.
"Or what? You'll kill me? You don't have the guts." I shrug and rush at him stabbing him in the stomach. He falls to the floor and the sight of his blood is making my urge stronger. I pull out the stake and tun out the house. If I need to finish this mark then get the cure myself I'll do it. I breathe out and look around town looking at the heat signatures when I spot one going into the forest. I follow after him and when I can't see the main road I run at him and stake him in the chest. He falls to the floor dead and I know the mark is completed. I close my eyes and see a map to the cure. I memorise it and start making my way to the dock. I then see Bonnie and Damon there. SERIOUSLY?!
"What do you guys want?" I ask groaning.
"We are going with you to the cure." Damon says smirking. I groan and get in the boat with Damon and Bonnie following. We start making our way to the island where the cure is. I breathe out again. I know exactly what I have to do.
