I laid awake listening to the thunder roll. There was a storm, and I hated it. I was scared of the storms that always occurred around the summer, as it meant lightning, thunder, and of course it meant more hurricanes. There was a crack of lightning lit my room up. I gasped and jumped up running to Father's cabin. I went to open the door but I heard him talking. He what? He snapped some and a crew member sighed. He, threatened to steal her... for what purpose no one knows. Father was silent for a period of time. What would HE want with a child?!? No one knows, sir. Another streak of lightning lit up the ship and it shook it. Dannielle!

I jolted awake to a book being dropped on my desk. I looked up Ms. Blanchard as kids laughed. Daenerys, are you alright? I'm so sorry, I didn't sleep well. I muttered and she sighed some. Stay after class, please. I looked down swallowing hard.

After class I sat at her desk and she sighed. That is the third time in two weeks you've fallen asleep in class, what's going on? I shook my head some. I don't know. Daenerys, if this continues you're going to fail. I looked down at my lap. You started sessions with Archie again, correct? I nodded and she sighed some. Well whatever is bothering you, maybe talk to him about it. I just looked at her. Maybe he'll know what to do.

I walked home slowly almost in a daze. I didn't know what was keeping me up, or what was making me so tired. Hey Dan. I just glanced at Henry. What's happening? Just what do you want? I snapped finally looking at him he frowned. What happened? You never snap at me. Yeah well I'm angry. Why? I turned and started walking. I wasn't about to stand there and explain to him why I was angry. When he was the one who made me angry. He was constantly leaving me out, and I hated it. I hated slowly becoming invisible to my best friend. Dan- just leave me alone. I snapped some storming to Granny's.

Father wouldn't let me out of his sight, or wouldn't let me in sight of others. I hated being this close to land, and not being able to go on. I spent so long on the boat I should have been able to leave. Hayes, I know you want to leave but- he sighed some sitting down before pulling me to him. His knee hit my side some. It's far to dangerous out there. What is dangerous?!? I snapped and he sighed shaking his head. I wish I could tell you, Hayes but I can't. I frowned some and just looked down at my feet.

Well, that is the third time he has called and the third time you've not answered. I looked at Granny as she came into my room. And I didn't see you down stairs for dinner. I wasn't hungry. I said not looking up at her. I was drawing. Dani, what is happening with you? She asked sitting down on my bed. Your grades have dropped, you haven't been sleeping and when you do you wake up screaming, your appointments with Archie haven't been helping- she dropped off, I knew what she was thinking. I was told last time this happened if it didn't get fixed I would have to go to a correctional school. I was actually about to go when something just changed. I don't want to see you go. I held my tongue as I wanted to tell her that I just wanted to go. Maybe you'd do better at the school with the nuns. I looked up finally. Are you insane?!? No one goes there! That is not true, and it might be better than the correctional school in Long Island. I looked down again defeated. She looked at the wall and sighed. I should have you paint art in all the rooms. She said before standing and walking out.

I looked up and saw father in the doorway I frowned. Come along. Where to? I asked standing he smiled. To land, you shouldn't be cooped up. I frowned now sure what had changed. I took his hand and started walking with him. Why wouldn't you let me off before? I asked as we approached a crew member. Captain? Are you sure taking her off is- I am her father, of course I know what's best. He snapped I frowned some but we kept going. Well, there was sorcerer who was after you, but it should be safe. I frowned some, I had only seen one other sorcerer besides the kindly old man that had helped father when I was ill, and that was a man who had killed mother. I didn't blame him, mother was truly horrid. I don't know what happened but there was a cloud of red suddenly and then, I was in a room of stone, with a wooden door.
