I sat up on the sail support beam kicking my feet, we were still docked in the Caribbean, I had rope and sail check, I stopped halfway through however for a break, and the sail gave a nice support for my back as I could lean back and not worry about falling. I waved some as I saw father coming back to the boat. What're you doing up there lass? Reading! I called back down and he smiled shaking his head. You were supposed to be checking ropes. He said climbing up to the platform that was halfway up. The front mast is fine, the back one is fine. And what of this one? What I've checked is fine. he shook his head. What're you reading? I held a book up. It was sailing legends. It covered everything from sea monsters to ghost ships. Father smirked some and shook his head. Go on, I'll finish checking this mast. I nodded and climbed down.
I walked through the school halls. I had just come from history. For some reason I felt off. I still kept thinking about that dream I had. I really wasn't into it today. I sat down for lunch and Henry looked over from whatever his friend was showing him. Hey Dan. I gave him a slight grunt, one that said I knew he had said something but wasn't in the mood. What happened? Oh she dropped the ball big time on the history test. You? Dropping the ball? How bad? I got an 85. Daenerys! You studied hard! I know, I just- I shook my head some while popping a grape into my mouth. I didn't sleep well. I said as that wasn't a lie. I looked over as mom was there. Science fair. I muttered the boys started in on what they had made and talking to each other on it. What did you make Dani?

I chose an Infinity Mirror. I said to the teachers and some parents who were helping out which stood in front of me. I started explaining my project when the other group of teachers and parents were over by Henry, who had just set his volcano off. Mom smiled some watching him, and my group drifted off. I looked down and sorta backed away and walked out of the gym. I chose the dumbest project there was. I muttered as I walked out and off school grounds. Things had been rough since we moved from Boston. There was a fire at the apartment complex, I had just laid down to go to bed when it broke out. I grabbed my backpack that's had stuff in it from when I was a kid, and we went out of the apartment. That's when the dreams started. I hadn't mentioned anything to mom, or Henry, or anyone really. I didn't have friends and I kept getting the sense of I didn't belong here. I never felt like I belonged. I made it back to the apartment. I looked over as I went to go into the lobby, but I saw this guy standing there. He was dressed in almost Ren fair clothing, dark hair, and these really bright blue eyes. I frowned as I stared at him. I felt like I knew him. He hadn't seen me yet but he looked over before I could look away. He seemed almost shocked and happy, but also really sad. I looked down and away before walking inside and to the elevator. I got to the apartment and walked in and to my room, where I flopped onto my bed.
Alright. Father said standing next to me. Last time he had shown me how to steer the ship, we got into a bit of sticky situation. Go just a tad Starboard. I did and frowned some. Where did you learn to sail? He smiled some. Don't really know, Twelve I suppose. You suppose? I asked looking over and he sighed. I've been on the sea since I was just an infant, like you I've grown up on ships, and like you, I suppose I've always known, except I wasn't nine when I got to drive. And I suppose you've always known how to make swords and daggers? No, I learned that when I was fourteen. Your life always seems so exciting. Trust me, one day your life will be just as eventful, it's just how the Jones line goes.
I woke up to hear the TV in the other room. Henry was home playing a game on his X-box, even though play station was superior. It was late. No one had yelled at me so either they didn't know I had left school early, or I was in for one of mom's it'll get better speeches. I walked out and looked over. Oh, you're just to level 20? I beat that level like a week ago. Hey, no spoilers! I laughed some grabbing a drink. Dani do you want any dinner? I looked back and shook my head. No thanks Ms. Q. I said and she frowned. You haven't been out of your room all day. I shrugged some and walked back to my room. I kept getting an uneasy feeling. The dream, I was sailing with this guy, and I felt like I knew the face from somewhere. I sat down at my desk and put my headphones on pushing play on my walk-men. I started drawing
