I sighed as we were going to go around New York. I stepped out onto the fire escape and looked out. So you like Henry's girlfriend or something? I looked at Neal or Baelfire and frowned. First off no, he's not even eleven yet I just turned ten. Second off, he's my best  friend, he's like a brother to me. Ah sorry, My bad. What are you doing? Well, Emma said you're pissed at her, and that you hate Gold-so she sent the stranger to come talk to me. So why are you mad at her? She lied to Henry, I've been there, in his shoes it sucks. I said and he nodded some. Yeah, it does. I looked at him. My mom, left when I was a boy, my father lied about it and said she died. But she didn't? I asked even though I knew the answer. No, she moved on, had another family. So both of them lied? He nodded and sighed. Yeah I met my half siblings when I was fourteen, what about you? My mother lied about a lot, about her past, stuff about me, stuff she shouldn't have lied about. And your dad? I laughed some. Plagued with lies. I said and he nodded before he put a hand on my shoulder. Let's go. I smirked and pushed off the railing.

I walked up next to Henry as he talked to Neal. Hay, you gotta try some pizza. No I'm good I- nah I insist. Neal said and I frowned some becoming uncomfortable. The nagging feeling of being this close to a half brother, to someone else who is tied to her, to be this close to someone else who understood being screwed over by her was eating me alive. We stepped in as Henry asked about the Enchanted Forest. You two have very different views on it. Neal looked at me and frowned. You're from- I nodded. Yeah, well I was born in the Caribbean, but raised over there. Wait I didn't know that! I smirked some. You never asked. I said as Neal handed me a slice of pizza. You know what would be really fun? Going home? I asked and Henry sighed. You really miss your dad. I nodded taking a bite out of the pizza. The museum. I perked up some and Henry smiled. There it is. I rolled my eyes as we walked out, Emma agreed to take Henry back to the apartment to get his camera. So you like the New York pizza? Yeah, it's delicious, cheesy, and doesn't lie. I snorted some and coughed just a tad to cover it up.

We got back to the apartment. I was very antsy. Henry went back and asked if we could take the subway, but I fell back again. Do these kids not understand important conversations. I glared at him and his eyes went big. Emma. She looked at me. When can we go home? Are you ok? No the longer I stay here the weaker I get. She frowned some. Why? Cause of the- I kinda made a hand movement I make typically when using magic. Oh. She muttered frowning. Weird. Yeah I know but- we'll leave soon I promise. I sighed and followed Henry and Neal up the apartment. You really hate it here don't you? I went to say something but I heard a loud thud. Stay here! No way. I snapped running after him. I hit the bottom stairs and leaned against the gate. What- I stopped as I saw it. Dad? Neal's head snapped around. No. He muttered lowly I looked at him and Rumple frowned. Hayes?!? You know her?!? Not the time for this! I snapped before helping Neal get Gold up. Emma you get to take care of- I gestured to dad and she nodded. Go.

We got up there and I felt myself start panicking. I was standing there not able to zone in and listen. Gold had been poisoned, dad had succeeded in his quest for revenge. I didn't understand though, why he'd want to avenge Milah, after everything she had put me through. The lies, the confusion.
I went into the bathroom to try to get it together but I couldn't I looked up in the mirror and felt myself wobble

Emma
I turned as there was a thud from the other room. The hell? I ran into the other room and Henry was sitting in the bathroom floor shaking Hayes. Wake up! What happened?!? She passed out! I scooped her up and turned. Where can I put her? Neal frowned, he looked almost worried. What's wrong with hee? Don't know. Uh bed, just lay her on the bed. I sat her down and kissed her forehead. Hang in there Hayes. I muttered before looking at Henry. I pulled him into the othe room. Stay here, watch Gold and Hayes. He nodded I looked up Neal looked horrified. Neal! He looked over and I nodded. Let's go.

Hayes: I never stood a chance, did I?
