Dani a few nights later
I should have been at Granny's getting dinner, but I couldn't. See I kept dwelling on what had happened when David bumped into me. I had written it down, including the name which woke me up in the night quite frequently. That name, was Hayes. Anytime I thought about that I kept getting a fighting feeling. It felt like someone was trapped inside my head fighting to get out. I definitely didn't tell Archie this either. He'd think I was crazy. Dani? I looked up at Ruby as she brought a plate up. You didn't come down to eat, are you ok? My leg hurts. She nodded smiling. I figured, that's why I brought this up. She said handing me a plate if spaghetti. Thanks, Ruby. I said and she nodded sitting a drink down. I'll come back for the plate and cup later. As soon as she was gone though I opened my book up, and stared at the name.
Hayes, are you sure about this? I looked at father and nodded. You're too young to go on your own. I'm eight, and I'll be fine. I said as I grabbed a bag. I was on my way to a town, that had changed a few rules, on the queen's word. They have a new law about pirates who step into this land, everyone on this ship could be killed. Exactly why you will not be going. You are a pirate as well, and could be killed. I'm a child, and as long as I keep my wrist covered they won't know. So I am taking my leave. I said before walking off the ship. Truth be given, I was excited to get away from father. My father and I, didn't have the best relationship. Sometimes we were fine, other times I hated his very being. There were one two many things that stripped him of being fatherly and turned him cold, and distant. It had been that way for a long time. So when I could leave the ship alone, I was glad.
I sat up when I heard a noise. I looked out the window and saw a wolf walking down a road and Graham sitting there on the ground by his car. I got up and managed to crutch downstairs without anyone waking up. I got outside and frowned. Graham? He looked over. Dani did you see the wolf? Yeah. I said sorta confused. No we didn't have wolves alot but it wasn't impossible, because we were surrounded by woods. You need to go back inside. I frowned some. How much did you drink? Daenerys, go inside. I turned and headed back to Granny's when I stopped. You saw something too, that was like a memory, didn't you? I asked looking back at him he frowned. How do- cause I had an instance like that the other day, just don't tell anyone. My lips are sealed. He said before I turned back and went inside.
Why is it, the only town that is a friend to us, is all the way through the woods. I muttered as my dress grazed my ankles. I wore a dress because to me that wouldn't draw as much attention as a girl wearing trousers. I heard some horses coming up behind me, so I got off on one side to let them pass. And where are you going? I looked up at some men. To the market. I said before I started walking again. All alone, for someone so young. I kept walking looking for somewhere to run. We can give you a ride to the market. A hand came down I grabbed my knife and stabbed his hand he let a yell out as I jerked the knife back out and then ran into the woods. I ran for a little bit and then jumped behind a few fallen logs and ducked down behind them. They all ran past yelling. Very interesting, you escaped some huntsman. I turned and saw someone standing there, with a wolf.
I jumped as the bell rung. Henry frowned. You ok? Yeah I uh- you haven't been fine since David bumped into you. He said as he walked with me out of class. On the way out however I grazed Graham's arm I stopped as flashes occurred. It was me in the woods, Graham was there and a wolf was there, then there was the ocean and this guy, who looked like the guy in the picture I drew, and he was saying the name.
