CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN!
"I think you could use a little fun."
Y/N L/N PROMISED TO SEE REGULUS AFTER CLASS, and there she was, walking over to him.
He had a smile plastered on his face, completely excited to see her.
Regulus had planned to take her on a picnic, try to cheer her up. He felt bad after James told him how Y/n was feeling the other day, and wanted to fix that.
He loved this girl, he would do anything for her.
Y/n reached him, and he revealed the white daisy flower that he had behind his back and handed it to her.
"For you," he said, smiling warmly. Y/n blushed, takingt the scent of the flower in, and returned his smile. "Why thank you, Mr. Black."
"Well, where are you taking me?" she asked, quite serious and impatient.
He linked his arm with hers, and they began walking. Regulus couldn't wipe the smile off his face, just looking at her.
Y/n tried her best to keep her mind off Remus and Sirius, and just focus on Regulus, the one who stuck by her.
"The black lake," he said, "Quite nice picnic spot."
She chuckled, as he led her to the lakeside. Where he had a picnic blanket spreaded on the grass under a big tree, with baskets in it that had cookies, fruits, a tub of strawberry icecream, also some paint and a medium sized canvas.
"I think you could use a little fun," Regulus shrugged, sitting down with his legs crossed.
Y/n looked down at him, the picnic setup, the lake.. It was all perfect.
He was perfect. He was beautiful.
But all of this only took her head back to Remus. She did this first with him. All of it.
Y/n tried to shake that thought away and put on a smile, joining Regulus.
"Wow," she gushed, "Someone's been busy."
"I'm glad you like it, i did put on a lot of work," he replied, shyly looking down.
"Oh, i love it," said Y/n, "Thank you so so much Regulus, you don't know how much this means to me."
"You don't know how much you mean to me, Y/n," Regulus whispered, "You mean everything to me, and you deserve this. You deserve this and so much more."
Y/n stared at him in awe, and noticed Regulus looked down at her lips.
He slowly scooted closer towards her, and placed his hand on her shoulder.
Y/n felt her heart beating fast, and she swore she could hear Regulus' heart beats too.
Gently, Regulus fingertips slid up to her chin.
He pulled Y/n closer and softly pressed his lips against hers, kissing her sweetly. Y/n wrapped her arms around his neck, running her hands through his hair.
Regulus placed his thumb on her cheek, and placed strands of her hair behind her ear.
He continued to kiss her, passionately. This was what he'd been wanting, all he wanted.
They soon pulled away, even though Regulus wished they could stay like that forever.
They both smiled at each other, before Regulus said, "Okay, just one more." He then gave Y/n another quick peck.
"Oh!" he exclaimed as he remembered something. He searched for something in his pocket, and pulled out a ring box.
"Regulus.." Y/n started nervously, "We're 17, we're still in school."
Regulus laughed, shaking his head, "I know i know, i'm not asking you to marry me. Not yet at least."
Y/n cackled, laughing uncontrollably.
"This, Y/n L/n is a promise ring," he opened the box, "The engagement ring comes later, wait a few years."
"Or when we get the hell out of this school," he added, shrugging.
"What's the promise?" she asked.
"Nothing much, i just need you to promise me to always smile," he replied.
Y/n's heart melted.
"I like it when you smiled," he continued, "Can you do that for me?"
He placed the ring on her finger, she looked down at how beautiful it was, how beautiful he was. And her surroundings. It was heavenly.
