The Prince and his Guard

So this is American school.

Emil opened the school doors as we walked in together with Teddy following close behind. I watched on as Emil looked around excitedly at the whole place while I have a worried look.
"It is truely not clean here." I quietly stated before Emil spoke.
"This is everything I have dreamed of!"
"Really, you have some pretty sad dreams." Teddy told making me give a quick nod.
"Greetings fellow classmate." He told before hugging a random person quickly and then rushing off towards a janitor. "You are doing fantastic work, my friend
"About time somebody noticed." He told back before going back to work as I rushed over to Emil.
'This is going to be difficult.'
"Emil, will you please not rush off like that." I told as I caught up to him.
"Isn't this fantastic Anna?"
"Very. But I would rather you not run off without me here. I am still meant to be protecting you." I told making sure only he heard the last part.
"Of course." He told before getting the paper we were both given from his pocket. "I have a locker."
I went to look at where mine was, when he grabbed ahold of my hand and pulled me to where his locker was. He quickly got it opened and began to feel around it before turning towards me.
"It is wet." He excitedly told me making me pull my worried look for him.
"Maybe we don't touch it then Emil."
"Steady Teddy at the ready!" A female exclaimed as she walked over towards Teddy.
'Peculiar girl. He is still touching the wet locker.'
"Emil please stop touching the wet locker."
"Where is your locker? Maybe it is also wet!"
"I truly hope it isn't." I stated as he looked back and he found an obscene drawing in it.
He quickly rushed over to Teddy and the unknown female to tell him about the drawing, making sure I was close to him.
'At least he is dragging me everywhere. Makes my job easier.'
"Teddy, my closest friend. I just found the most inventively obscene drawing in my locker. You must come see."
"I advice to not do that." I told before being dragged back to his locker with him.
"We should see where your locker is." He told making me look at it.
"It says it's the one next to you. What luck."
"Oh what fun. This will be exciting!"
"Very."
"I wonder if we are in the same classes." He told making me get his schedule and compare them together.
"It would appear that we do. Makes this year easier for the both of us knowing where the other is."
'Especially if Joosep is to watch over the both of us.'
Once Emil was done looking at both our lockers he closed them before looking towards Teddy. We watched as he waved to a female who in turn was waving to someone else, making Teddy pretend he was just doing a peculiar stretch.
"Do you think he has feelings for that girl?" I questioned.
"It is possible. Let's go find out!" He told before dragging me over to Teddy again.
"Who was that?" He asked as he pointed to the female Teddy waved to
"Sydney Quinn. The most perfect girl in the world."
'He definitely has feelings for her.'
"We used to sit next to each other in kindergarten. She borrowed my glue stick and stole my heart." He told making us both look over to her to see she was talking to someone before they walked off.
"Well let us say hello." Emil suggested as he began to walk over, only for Teddy to quickly pull him back and spin him around.
"Oh hello? Sydney is first chair violinist in the school orchestra. You can't just go up to a girl like that and say hello."
"I think you can."
"Also why does being the first chair in a school orchestra dictate if you can speak or not to one another. American school is quite peculiar."
"I'm sure she doesn't even remember my name." Teddy told trying to convince us not to speak to her.
"Well let's ask." Emil said trying to walk towards them again only to get spun around once more so he was on the other side of Teddy.
"Look, Emil. As much as I have enjoyed you coming in and totally taking over my life..."
"You are welcome."
"I need some alone time this weekend to do some work, and I'd hate to hog you all to myself. So why don't you branch out and make some new friends with Ann? Who aren't me." He suggested.
'Bad idea Teddy.'
"This is why you make such a great friend Teddy. Always thinking of others. Now watch as I spread my wings as a noble grouse."
"Suurre. Grouse on." He said
He stepped on the elevated part of the hallway, flapping his arms like wings before turning and walking past Teddy towards Sydney making sure I was by his side as he did so.
"No, Grouse off! Grouse off!" Teddy exclaimed towards us only for Emil to ignore him.
"You sure this is a good idea Emil?"
"Of course. Besides, he did suggest we make more friends."
"If you say so. I am meant to listen to you and can only give advice when needed."
We soon came to a stop in front of Sydney who gave us a confused look.
"Hello, I am Emil and this is my good friend Anastasia. Would you like to get friendly with me?" He asked making my eyes go wide as she got a panicked look on her face.
"Uh... what?" She asked making sure to take a step away from us.
"He means to be friends. Would you like to be friends with him? Or us I guess." I asked making her relax.
"We are new to your school and I was hoping to make some friends and enjoy some fun local activities." He told with a smile.
"Ahhh. Well I heard there's gonna be a Piggy Spank this weekend." Sydney told making me nod along.
"The Piggy Spank!... Yes I love the Piggy Spank! What is the Piggy Spank?"
"Do people spank pigs for fun in Peoria?" I added since I was genuinely curious.
"It's this huge party that they hold every year down at the lake. Kids race down a ramp and take a swing at a piñata." Sydney explained.
"Piñatas, ramp...text Chad for info. This looks like the greatest event in human history of the universe!" He exclaimed as he looked over at us.
"Didn't you once say that the fact my brother tackled a moose was the greatest event in human history of the universe?" I questioned making him nod as he read the poster more.
'Strange prince.'
"You have a brother?" Sydney asked
"I have an older brother named Alexander and a younger sister named Tatiana. We are very close and Emil enjoys spending time with the three of us."
"I could even build my own cart!" Emil stated making us look towards him. "Would you go with me to this...Piggy Spanking? I would ask my friend over there...but I think he would rather stay in his room and play with himself."
"Robots. He means playing with his robots, which are quite fascinating I must say."
"Well my mums would hate the idea...Let's do it." Sydney told making Emil smile
'I'm impressed Emil. You are adapting somewhat well.'
"Wonderful. I will text Chad for info." He told.
"Why don't you come with us Anastasia?"
"Oh no, she was already going to go if I was." Emil stated making her get excited for some reason.
"That's so cute. Are you two a couple?"
"Oh no. We just spend our time together and often stay close to the other." I explained.
"That's actually really sweet that you two do that."
"It's been like this since we were seven." He added as I nodded.
"Also I should mention, I also go by Anna or Ann. If you didn't want to call me Anastasia."
"I call her Anna." Emil told as his smile grew like he was sharing a secret.
'I guess he hasn't told anyone that he calls me Anna. Maybe one day he won't have to hide it to our family's.'
"But Anastasia is such a nice name."
"Some people don't like saying the full thing. Except Emil, he just likes calling me Anna since he is the only one to ever do so."
"It is true."
"Not even your family call you Anna or Ann?"
"No. My family like our whole names."
"Strange. Well I gotta get to class, so I'll see you guys around." She told as she gave us a wave bye and left.
'Strange first day of normal school.'
I walked next to Emil as he texted this Chad to get a spot in the Piggy Spank and I made sure he didn't run into anyone or anything.
"Dearest Chad...."
"Do not text him that." I told before Teddy appeared in front of us.
"What did you just do?" He asked making Emil look towards him.
"I made a date to get friendly with Sydney Quinn. Up high." Emil told back as he wanted a high five.
Teddy reluctantly went to give a high five only for yesterday's actions to repeat itself and Teddy was once again doubling over, as Emil laughed before beginning to walk away.
"Never gets old." He stated as I went to quickly help Teddy.
"I truely am sorry for him. He doesn't really know what it's like to have friends and his only examples is Stank Man and Daryl." I told as I helped him up.
"How are you even friends with him?"
"We have grown up with our family's being close, so I've grown used to his antics. But I must go now and catch up with him, or I will surely lose him here. Sorry again." I told before rushing off after Emil. "Emil will you slow down!"
'He can really walk fast.'
