THE BACKYARD BARBECUE RUNS ARE ON!

Once everything was done I went looking for Emil. Thankfully I found him wearing a ridiculous outfit in the bowl alley.
"Should I even ask?"
"Oh Anna! I was curious where you went." He told before pulling me into a hug.
"I went to watch that manatee show with Teddy."
"Was it boring?"
"No it's full of drama. Freddy's going to die."
"Oh poor Freddy."
"Yeah it's really sad."
Before anymore could be spoken between the two of us, Emil's phone began to ring making him go to pick it up. Of course when he did we were greeted with an old lady.
'That's not natural.'
She ended getting shooed out of the chair and Emil's father, the king, sat in it so it showed him.
"Hello father!"
"Emil. What I was trying to tell you earlier. The secret to a successful friendship is comm....." he began before Rafael spoke up.
"Emil! The barbecue runs are back on!" He called making Emil get excited.
"Great chat father. Gotta go." He told before passing the phone to me.
"Sorry sir. He's made a new friend so now he is excited, till our next chat." I told giving a wave bye making him do the same before I hung up.
'That boy I swear.'
I walked over to where they were watching the Barbecue runs, and got to the point where they announced they were in our parking lot. They quickly rushed up from their spot and Emil grabbed my hand so I'd be able to keep up with the two running boys.
'I feel like a rag doll.'

Soon Emil and Rafael rushed into the parking lot with me close behind Emil and I gave a wave to Teddy, who gave me one back while he sat on the back of a pick up. Emil ended up running up to
Stank man and Daryl and said said hi before rushing back to us.
"Did you see that Anna?"
"It is a dream come true for you."
"I could die happy."
"Please don't.... Die! Don't die! Oh my mooses that sounds terrible." I told making him chuckle.
'I've never noticed how much hun smiling and laughing at my mistakes makes me feel so much better. And that feeling is back.'
As on que, Stank man and Daryl began to record for their livestream.
"What up, Stank Nation! Before we get started, quick shout-out to the little dude and little dudette who hooked us up with this sweet piece of pavement....." Stank man began before raising his hand to read the names, but got confused so he showed Daryl who read them out.
"Toddy Jockscone and Anastageia Monstrow."
"Yeah!"
"How?" I questioned as Teddy shook his head before making his way over to us.
"Teddy, Anna, you did all of this for me? But you hate this kind of thing." Emil told
"Yeah, but I know you're kinda obsessed with Stank man & Daryl...."
"I am positive they were the sole reason he wanted to  come to America." I stated cutting him off before Emil spoke.
"I had a whole conversation with them earlier!" He told with the biggest smile he had.
"Wow, I do not think I have seen to ever be this excited over anything."
"Look, I know I haven't put a lot of effort into our friendship, but... I hope this is a good start." Teddy told
Rafael placed a hand on Emils shoulder and pulled him back a bit away from us before speaking.
"Too little too late, old friend. He's already got a new bestie, and guess who?" He said before covering his own face to do a part. "Oh, who is it? Oh, who is it? It's Rafa!" He told as he uncovered his face.
"That's something." I simple told.
"Oh my gosh, my two best bro's fighting over me..."
"Stay out of this, Emil." Rafael told
"Okay."
"Hey, don't tell Emil what to do. That's what I'm for, and I'm a bit insulted you listened to him right away." I told before he put his arm around me.
"You know Anastasia. I like you, and I was wondering if maybe later the two of us could go on a date?"
"A date?"
"Yeah. Romantic style."
"Oh. Oh! Ohhhhh! I'm so sorry Rafael, I do not like you that way. No hard feelings?"
"Na it's all good." He told before turning back to Teddy. "I'm not losing another friend because of you, Teddy. You hear me? No más!"
"Dude, are you okay?" Teddy asked
"Oh I'm better than okay! I just chugged a sixer of Spuz cola, and now I'm jacked up on friendship!"
"No, I am positive that is heart failure, not friendship." I stated.
"Brainstorm. How 'bout you and me do the 'runs' to see who gets to be Emils best friend?"
"That's not gonna prove anything. Right, Emil?"
"It wouldn't hurt." Emil told making me smack his arm.
"Really?"
"But it wouldn't." He told making me turn my back towards him as I pinch the bridge of my nose.
'I can not believe this.'
Before he could say anything about my response, Rafael screamed and ran off towards the course as Teddy followed. I watched as they put their goggles and helmets on, before Rafael dove head first into the Relish.
'Wow this is truely gross.'
"Whoa! We got two super fans goin' rogue!" Stank man announced.
The crowd cheered and Teddy soon went into the relish and it was obvious that he was behind.
"Other dude's cruisin' through 'Relish River'!" Stank man announced.
"Anna, are you upset at me?"
"We did this for you. And you are making Teddy go through this disgusting thing to prove how much his friendship with you means? And do not get me started on the whole competition you and Rafael had.... Although I am now piecing it together that he was most likely trying to impress me due to having romantic interest in me. Though I do not know why you would have been doing that as well."
"Obviously not because of romantic interest in you that's for sure." He told scoffing before wrapping his arm over my shoulders.
"Guess not." I told smiling at his flustered manner. "But, this whole thing was to show you that your with Teddy friendship was not one sided. Yet you have made him have to prove it. Isn't this whole thing proof enough?"
"Of course this was enough. I just wanted to see him go through it." He told making us laugh.
"You are diabolical."
"You love it."
"I do." I told as we went back to watching the run.
"Oh, he made it across the Lago Del Queso!" Stank man announced
"And he didn't hit an airbag." Daryl added
"Airbag?" I questioned just before Teddy jumped and set one off.
He went flying into the air making me jump, having Emil wrap his arms around me as Teddy landed on the ground besides the pool.
"I hope he is ok from that."
"Same."
"You should probably help Teddy." I told making him nod.
"Yeah I should. Be safe." He told kissing the side of my head before rushing to help him.
Emil jumped in besides Teddy and began to help him climb the barbecue sauce mountain.
"Plot twister! Looks like Toddy's got a little helper. Is that cheating?" Stank man asked
"I dunno." Daryl told
Emil kept pushing him till they were at the same level as Rafael. Rafael said a few things before jumping to attack them only to miss and slip to the bottom of the mountain.
Emil and Teddy continued to fight their way up till they reached the top and rang the bell making me jump and scream for their victory with everyone else.
"They did it! They did the impossible! They crushed 'Barbecue Mountain'!" Stank man exclaimed only for Daryl to question it as he suddenly had a corn dog.
'I want a corn dog now."
They took their goggles off and began to talk to one another. I covered my mouth when I saw Teddy get on one knee and I was excited to see it was coming full circle. They shared a bro hug before sliding back down the mountain and took their helmets off before heading towards me.
"You two are completely filthy. Regina will not let you two in the house like that." I told making them share a look.
"Come give us a hug Ann." Teddy told as he opened his arms to hug me.
"I'll wait till you are clean to do that."
"No Anna, I think Teddy is right. Why wait on hugging, when we can do it now." Emil told making me take steps back.
"Emil, I advise you against that." I told.
They began to run after me, causing me to run away. We all laughed while I kept avoiding them, but sadly Emil was still faster then me. Once I was caught the two hugged me and I held a disgusted look mixed with my smile.
"This is truely disgusting." I stated.
"Yeah I think I heard one of them say that one of them were from the 90s?" Teddy questioned making us nod.
"That is putrid." I stated making them smile.
"You still are beautiful minus the mess." Emil told.
"Oh, you've got some on your nose." I told
"I shouldn't." He told making me draw a line down his nose.
"Now you do." I told making him pick me up and spin me. "Emil! You are going to drop me!"
"Maybe I shouldn't be friends with you two." Teddy joked making me and Emil tackle him into another hug.
"Come on you two. We gonna get hosed in the parking lot before we can go inside ever again." I told as I threw my arms over their shoulders.
"Do you think Regina will actually hose us?" Emil questioned.
"Oh I think she definitely will." Teddy told
"Anything to not ruin those rugs." I stated making us laugh.
'The rest of this year is going to be amazing. Nothing blood draining bad could happen now.'
