I was sitting on the seats enjoying the drink I had gotten a little earlier as I continued to cheer for Regina and Emil. Once Emil had his go he came back and joined up next to me before enjoying the drink I had gotten for him.
"How are you feeling about the game?" I questioned.
"The Dirksens are still ahead of us and we are having trouble catching up. I doubt we will be able to win." He told making me think of how to cheer him up.
"Here, I know how to cheer you up." I told as I put our drinks on the table.
He gave a confused look before I had him turn around and got him to lie down on me, before I began to do random patterns around his eyes. He closed his eyes and I could tell he was begin to relax like he usually does when I did this.
"You beginning to feel better?" I asked as I continued to make random patterns.
"Very." He told not opening his eyes.
I smiled down at him and he opened his before he began to smile up at me.
"Close your eyes. I don't wanna poke them by accident." I told making him do so, but not removing his smile from his face.
"You know, you are very talented at this."
"I would hope so. I learnt it off of my father."
"I like your father. He's a good man, though he does also terrify me." He told making me chuckle.
"Then he is doing an excellent job."
"I guess he is."
It wasn't long before Regina came up and gave his leg a tap making him open his eyes and looked at her.
"You turn bud." She told which a smile.
"I'll be back." He told me before heading off for his turn.
"Go Emil!" I cheered as Regina sat next to me and we both watched him for his turn.
"I don't think I have ever seen you two far away from one another." She admitted.
"We are very close. I often have to remind him I'm not as fast as him, which lead to him often holding my hand to make sure we are by one another's side.
"That's very sweet. It's weird seeing you two around so much that it feels like you've been apart of our little family from the very start."
"Yeah.... It really does."
'We truly made this our home.'
"Oh it's my turn." She told before getting up.
Emil came back over and sat where Regina was and wrapped his arm over my shoulders.
"What were you two talking about?"
"Just stuff." I told smiling up at him.
"That is my favourite thing to talk about." He joked making us laugh.
'To think we've only been fully in one another's life since we were seven.'~half an hour later~
I was watching Regina getting ready for her turn when Emil came back with out refills.
"You know this is one of the best parts about living in a bowling alley." Emil told as he sat next to me and placed his arm back over my shoulders.
"It truly is."
"I think Tatiana and Alexander would be very jealous we get to live like this." He admitted.
"Unlikely. But I guess we will never find out the truth of that unless they came and visited for Christmas or something much worse like us being forced to go home."
"Very true."
Emil soon got up for his turn and Regina sat next to me again.
"Man that Dirksen kid is better then her mum." She told making me chuckle.
"Do you wish she got the pink eye instead?" I questioned.
"Extremely." She admitted making me laugh. "Oh Emil is about to go."
"GO EMIL!" I shouted and I could tell he appreciated it.
Once he got a strike Regina got up to go their weird dance thing. I ended up following since Emil often rushes to hug me every time he does. I was watching them finished their we are wining dance when Teddy walked up.
"Hey, guys. Something I want to tell you."
"Wait, first, let me thank you,Teddy. I was feeling homesick with Anna, and you honourably stepped aside so that I could bowl with your mother. It really made me feel like a part of the family."
"Great. Now I feel even worse. The truth is, I owe you guys an apology." He admitted.
"Really now? What ever for, Teddy?" I questioned making Emil chuckle a little.
"You may not have noticed, but I was kind of being a poor sport back there."
"You don't say." Regina added as she also pretended like she didn't know the whole time.
"No, no. It's true. I was rude. I taunted you guys. I dabbed."
"You were also glaring do not forget that." I added
"In fact, I even played with a robotic-"
"Robotic arm... yeah, we knew." Regina told cutting him off.
"What gave it away? The sparks or the smoke?"
"Honestly those only made it official for us." I told before Regina continued.
"The strikes."
"It was much more impressive than your cookie dunker." Emil told as we did a dunking motion.
"Tea steeper." He told putting emphasis on the word before calming down again. "Whatever. The point is I'm sorry. I guess it just hurt when it felt like you replaced me."
"Sweetie, I could never replace you. You'll always be my one and only Teddy Bear. Come here." Regina said as she pulled him into a hug.
"What a touching family moment for you, Teddy Bear!" Emil said smiling.
"Emil I don't think you can call him that." I quietly told.
"Only she can call me that."
"Hey, the ice cream shop closed in 20 minutes. What do you say we continue the tradition and get a scoop." Regina suggested.
"But you guys might still win."
"Nah. It's over. The Dirksens only need to roll a two. And she's way better then her mum. I wish she got pinkeye." Regina said before they began to head for ice cream.
'I wonder what the two of us will do while they are gone?'
They ended up stopping fairly quickly and looked back over to the two of us, with confused looks.
"Ann, Emil. You coming?" Teddy asked
"We thought it was a family tradition." Emil told as I nodded with him and the two shared a look.
"We can make an exception." Teddy told
A smile grew on our faces and I grabbed his hand before pulling him as we rush to Regina and Teddy's side, and Regina congratulated the Dirksens.
"But I think we are the big winners tonight."
We began to walk off when we heard a buzzer noise. We quickly turned around to see the daughters foot over the line.
"She's over the line!"
"That's a foot fault. We win!" Regina cheered
"Eat it, Dirksens!" Me and Emil shouted towards them.
We cheered and I jumped into Emils arms to hug him on winning before hugging Regina and Teddy.
"Now ice-cream!" I exclaimed.
"Let's get ice-cream." Regina told.
'This was a great day. And I got to spend it with the people I now see as a second family.'
