We walked into the room and I knew Emil was nervous about the whole situation. I gave him a nod so he knew what he was doing was the correct way to go, making him give a kind smile before turning back to Teddy to talk.
'I need to get this feeling in check.'
"Hello, Teddy, I just wanted to say that I am sorry about my earlier 'bro-posal'." He told making Teddy look over at us.
When he did, he let out a sigh of relief before he began to talk to us.
"Good."
"It is painfully clear to me now that I simply did not go big enough." Emil told as he smiled.
"What? No! I don't want a bro-posal. And I don't want to wear a weird bro-celet. And why do you have to put the word 'bro' in front of everything?" Teddy exclaimed.
"Because it is more bro-mantic that way." We told as one.
"You embarrassed me in front of the whole school. Everyone was laughing at me. Even the science teacher."
"Mr.Buttsnifft?" Emil asked
"Exactly! I was laughed at by a guy named buttsnifft!"
"I feel terribly sorry for that man." I stated.
"Lucky for you, I'm willing to forgive you, so we can get started in watching Manatee Manor." Teddy told making me slightly mad that he would say that.
"Forgive... me? You were the one who left me hanging. And I do not even want to watch that show! As I have told you repeatedly, I want to watch the live-stream of Stank man and Daryl's 'backyard barbecue runs.' I bet you do not even remember what that is." Emil told
'Maybe this was a bad idea.'
"Sure I do. It's where Stank man and Daryl... are in a backyard... with barbecue... and they run."
"Lucky guess." Emil told before leaving the room and shutting it on us.
'Poor Emil.'
"Well then, let us begin the show." Teddy told as he headed for his chair.
"Teddy, in my opinion, do you not think you should make it up to him?" I questioned making him give me a confused look.
"I have to make it up to him?!"
"Yes, that is what I said. Did you not get any of that?"
"He is the one who embarrassed me in front of the school." He told
"They will forget in a weeks time when something else catches their interest. But you not listening to Emil is not how friendships work. It works both ways.
"You are only taking his side because your his guard and most likely have a crush on him."
"I do not have a crush on Emil. And I am not taking anyones sides, I'm simply stating the obvious fact that you have not been treating the friendship kindly. You are taking advantage of Emil's wanting to make a male best friend, and sooner or later you will lose him." I told making him scoff and look back towards the tv. "If you will not listen to reasoning, then I will head back to my spot beside Emil, and actually be his friend."
I left their room and shut the door behind me to see Emil was waiting in the hallway for me, I gave his cheek a poke making him look towards me and give a smile.
"I was waiting for you." He told making me smile.
"I can see that. But shall we get ready to watch the barbecue runs?" I asked.
"You want to watch the barbecue runs with me?"
"Of course. You enjoy them and even though I do not get the fascination that you do with them. Them running through a disgusting obstacle course strangely does." I told making him smile.
"Then we shall." He told making me chuckle as he took my hand in his.
He lead us downstairs, but I could tell he was still mad about the whole thing with Teddy. It especially came to light when we rushed past Regina who was cleaning the glass on the counter.
"Hey, Emil and Ann."
"I'll tell you what's wrong! I have done everything I can to be Teddy's friend, and he has rebuffed all of my advances." Emil told.
"Oh my. I have not seen you this mad since Alexander kept stealing your corn dogs."
"Your mother makes great food."
"Sure, I have time to talk." She told as she stood up and moved over to us.
"Would you like some help?" I questioned.
"It's all good Ann."
"There is nothing to say." Emily told making us focus back on his sadness.
"Okay, then I'll just...."
"Teddy and I are finished! Through! Kaput! My only regret is pre-paying for those adjoining cemetery plots." He told making us give him a confused look.
"When did you buy them?"
"Do not worry. You are on the other side of me Anna."
"That was not what I was asking and you know this."
"Okay, we'll circle back to that one. Look Emil, I don't know what's going on between you and Teddy, but try not to take it personally. He's never been good at making friends. Or keeping friends. Or even watching the show friends. He gave up on it after the monkey left." Regina told
"Oh, I do not blame him for that. Every show is better with a monkey."
'Why do I feel Iago would be jumping up and down on a laptop right about now?'~( meanwhile at the castle )~
Iago was jumping up and down on the laptop making the king and Maxwell facepalm.
"I will call in Tatiana. She may be able to help." Maxwell told.
"Please do."~( back to the bowling alley )~
"But don't feel bad. It's not the first time that Teddy's pushed a friend away. A couple years ago, Teddy hit it off with this kid, Rafael, at computer camp. They became pen pals, wrote for a couple of months, and then Teddy just all of a sudden stopped writing. But Rafael...he never stopped." She told as they walked over to the counter and pulled this big stack of envelopes out from behind the counter.
"Oh my. That is a lot of envelopes." I stated.
"Oh my, that is a big stack of sad. You know what? I will email this Rafael and let him know that he shakily save his heart and his stamps for someone more deserving. You know, back in Buronia if you see a moose limping, you are duty bound to put it out of its misery." Emily told as we showed what they were to do.
"The poor moose was just limping!" Regina exclaimed as she had a shock look on her face.
"Yes. Which is why you have to secure the leg...." he began
"And remove the thorn from its hoof." I told as we repeated the actions while we both told her what they were.
"Okay, Emil, Ann. That is not what that looks like."
"It's a good workout with the frequency we need to do it."
"Which is why Alexander had to tackle one of the mooses. He did get in trouble for that."
"Yeah, my father was not exactly thrilled with that being his first and only thought of catching him."
"Man you two are weird. In a good way." She told making us nod.
'I feel this going wrong in some way?'
