I think I almost deserved it.
Almost.
Thinking back on it I whimper in disgust. I let him do that. Hurt me like that.
And what did I do?
Nothing absolutely nothing. just stared out him all doe-eyed and glamoured.
"You don't mean that." I whisper.
"I wish you wouldn't question me anymore," his long fingers find my neck again, giving it a squeeze. Not enough to hurt though. It was as if to say 'I'm still in charge. See? I could kill you in a heartbeat'.
"What-"
"I didn't ask you to talk." He seethes, "Silence is golden mutt."
What happens next confuses me. He looks down at me, at my outfit. I see his eyes narrow.
What was wrong with my outfit? Black skinny jeans and a pale blue sweater. It wasn't mine of course but-
"What else do you want to take from my dead sister? First her room, then her disease, now her clothes. Leave her be."
He lets me go and I slump to the ground. I start to cry all by myself, hugging my ribs.
The ground holds me. He doesn't.
I call after him.
I love him. I love him.
His tall form walks faster and faster
down the corridor.
