Favorable Consequence

"Lea? Mahal, do you want anything?" Aga asked the woman who suddenly went all silent, she was intently looking at the corner of the room, meditating.

She's trying to defy her brain and insubordinate it by her voice; in order to consist the calmness, Lea can only do signals.

It only alarmed Aga more, she could've been pinching him or transferring the pain to him by physically contacting with him, but her applicating nothingness is horrifying.

"Hello, Lea. Just came by to check, you've been admitted for 3 hours, we shall check how's the baby doing, I believe the epidural is starting to subside so sooner or later, we need to push the little princess out." Their OB-gyn said, pulling a chair to check Lea's dilation.

Lea's organs begun acting weirdly, she felt as if all was in wrong place after sophisticating that more pain would be implemented, she can't even fathom how she's handling the current one, now there was more on the way.

"Doing good, you're 9 centimeters in, we'll prepare the delivery room so in 20-30 minutes, we'll start pushing na. I'll go ahead and inform the nurses." She auspiciously muttered and excused herself.

"Heard that? Our child's one blink away, I'm going to be here beside you all the time, I won't leave you." He gave her a peck on a forehead as they waited patiently for them to be called.

Lea wanted to punch him, it was monotonic for him to say that it's only a blink away while everything's being a torture for her.

If he wasn't there, then she won't birth the baby out, they made it together, then it's also supposed to be both of them to welcome it.

"Sir, doctora said you can now wear the PPE, ililipat na po namin si ma'am after niyo mag-suot." One of the assistant nurse gestured Lea to decrease her tension with a hand signal. They pulled the side of the metal railings on her bed and unlocked the wheels to prepare her with the change of rooms.

Aga came out with the full suit as he gave his wife a comforting grin.

"Shall we go, ma'am?" She didn't have any choice but to nod. Lea's really keen to end this all and she can't wait to rest.

"Lea, try one more push for me. If we don't do this, I don't have any choice but to perform a C-section. I know we all want a normal delivery, but if you're already tired, we can't force the baby pop out on its own." Dra. Morales calmly uttered as Lea was struggling with her pushing.

"H-hindi doc, ka-kaya ko. I-isa pa po." She requested.

"Okay, if you say so. Deep breath for me-" she inhaled a big block of oxygen and held it then exhaled and chomp another one to fill her lungs.

"1. 2.3 push slowly-there, continue Lea, you're doing good." Lea was encouraged with the OB-gyn's words, she held the force like she was told, groaning in pain, squeezing Aga's hand the most way possible.

"Ughhh - A-aga..." She can only state Aga's name as she proceeded to push. "Okay, stop! You did good, baby's head is out. Daddy, you might want to give mommy some words of encouragement? It will help her especially with the big last push."

"Love, I know you're exhausted but it's almost finish, remember when we were both really excited to meet our little one? She's almost here oh, one last push, my love. One last push." He pecked her forehead and wiped off the sweat clinging down her forehead.

"I'm going to count to three okay? Push as hard as you can when I reach to three."

"P-promise m-mo Aga last na i-ito. A-ayaw ko na, pa-pagod na ako."
