"Ahhhh!!Stop!! Stop please!!" Maddie cried in pain when they hit her again on her legs using a wood baseball bat. They've been torturing her for almost an hour just because she doesn't wan't to transfer all his father's properties to his uncle Simon.

Nakapangalan ang lahat ng iyon sa kanya and Kai told her that the only way to avoid all their ruthlessness is to transfer all his father's properties to his uncle but she doesn't wan't it!! She won't let her uncle used his father's money to do some stupid stuff that can ruin the world. No!! Mas gusto niyang isakpripisyo ang sarili kesa ang maging dahilan ng kasamaan ng uncle niya sa buong mundo.

Muli siyang hinampas ng baseball bat sa kanyang mga binti and it made her taste her own blood that came out from her mouth. Muli siyang umiyak at sumigaw dahil sa matinding sakit na kanyang nararamdaman sa kanyang binti. Hindi na siya makatayo pa. Ilang minuto na siyang nakadapa sa metal na sahig kung saan siya kinulong kanina lang. She's been enduring all the pain pero hindi niya maiwasang mapasigaw at umiyak.

Napapapikit siya ng mariin habang paulit-ulit na sinisigaw ng utak niya ang salitang 'I'm sorry Kai'. It is just the only words she can uttered on that time. Pakiramdam niya kasi, katapusan na niya because whether she sign the contract or not, her uncle will still torture and kill her no matter what. Ano pang silbi ng mga papeles na iyon diba kung patuloy parin siyang pinapahirapan ng walang-hiya niyang uncle.

"A brave girl but it's not enough to bring me down, Maddie!! Maybe, you really need to die!!" galit na sigaw ng uncle niya bago nito narinig ang tila baliw na tawa nito. No wonder, she thinks his uncle has a mental disorder!!

Muling napasigaw si Maddie nung maramdaman niya ang pagtama ng wooden baseball bat hindi sa kanyang binti kundi sa kanyang likod. Pakiramdam niya, ito na ang pinakamasakit na naranasan niya sa buong buhay niya. Pakiramdam niya rin ay tila marami ng buto ang nabali sa katawan niya. She feels helpless and hopeless. Wala siyang takas and it feels that it's her end.

Ilang sandali ay muling tumahimik at dumilim ang paligid niya. They left her again pero kahit na ganun, iniisip niya paring babalik sila upang pahirapan siyang muli. She tried to move but she just groaned and cried in pain. She can't move. She tried and tried pero nung mapagod ay nanatili na lang siyang nakadapa sa metal na sahig habang umuubo ng dugo.

She smiled bitterly while catching her breath. She's running out of energy. She's so weak that she can't move even just a little bit. Ano ng gagawin niya? Maybe, she can just wait for her end. She can just wait until she stop breathing.

A memories of her and Kai flashed on her mind. Nag-unahang tumulo ang kanyang mga luha nung makita niya sa kanyang isip ang imahe ni Kai. It's their summer vacation on that time and they went to Cebu to relax, just the both of them. She remember those times that they were talking about their future together. It's their high school days and she can say that they were really close to each other.

"Pwede bang magtanong Kai?"

"Yeah sure"

"Anong ibig sabihin ng sunset at sunrise para sayo?"

"Hmm. For me sunset means forget the pain in the past. Forget all the problems right now so that as the sunrise shines, it's a perfect time to start a new life. Bakit mo naman natanong?"

"Ehh, wala lang hahaha. Mas gusto ko na pala ang sunrise kesa sunset ngayon"

"Me too but did you know what's the better idea to start a new life"
