I was unpacking the last of my books and putting them on the new shelves when my phone started ringing. Groaning, I got up and went to the kitchen where my phone was charging.

"Hi BF/N! What's up?" I asked with a smile. It made me so happy to finally live in the same city as my best friend again. Hopefully this would allow us to see each other more often.

"Hi sweetie. I'm calling to see if you want to join me going to NXT tonight. Jake can't make it. So I have one ticket left. Please say yes, I don't want to go alone. Please, pretty please?" said BF/N on the other end of the line.

"What please is NXT?" I wanted to know. I had no idea what that was supposed to be.

"Hello? Have you been living under a rock? It's a show produced by WWE here in Orlando. You know, wrestling." she explained, sounding a little offended that I didn't know what she was talking about.

"Oh wrestling. You know I don't know anything about it. My parents never allowed me to watch it when I was a kid. Maybe it's better if you take someone else with you. I have work to do anyway. I'm still unpacking and my article isn't ready yet either," I explained to her while getting a cold bottle of water from the fridge.

"Then it's about time for you to see your first wrestling show. And the unpacking can wait. Besides, I know your deadline for the article isn't for three days. No excuses. Let's make this night special," she countered.

I thought about what she said for a moment and of course she was right. A little time away from my apartment would certainly do me good, since I'd been busy moving the last week and had done little else. I sighed.

"Okay. I'm in. Will you come by beforehand or will you meet me there?" I asked.

"I'll come there straight from work. So if it's okay with you, I'll send you the address and time so we can meet there." she replied.

"Sure it's okay. I'll see you later then. But I'll tell you one thing, if I don't like it, you owe me dinner." I said with a smile.

"I don't think that's going to be the case, but okay. Thanks for not letting me down, Y/N. It's going to be great, I promise. And it's our first girls' night out in ages." replied BF/N.

"That's right. Listen, does it matter what I wear? I know you have all those shirts with the logos on them and stuff." I inquired of her.

"Yeah it totally doesn't matter. Not all people wear fan merchandise. And if you like the show and one or two wrestlers, you can buy merchandise at one of the booths tonight." she explained to me.

"I don't think I will, but thanks for the information anyway," I laughed.

"Never say never, Y/N. You don't know what's going to happen tonight. Maybe it will be the best night of your life. Maybe you'll like the show so much that you'll want to join me more often. Uh, that would be really great to have you with me all the time." spoke BF/N.

"I wouldn't count on liking it. It sometimes sounds pretty brutal what you tell me. I hope I can even get through this one night," I said, worried.

"You just have to remember that it's entertainment. It's not all as hard as it looks at first glance. I have to continue now. I'll see you later. I'll send you the details in a minute, okay? Don't be late! Bye." she said.

"I'll try my best. Bye." I replied and hung up.

It wasn't a minute before my phone beeped. As promised, BF/N had immediately sent me the address and a schedule.

I really hoped that I would enjoy this evening and it would not be a complete waste of time. Even if BF/N was still so enthusiastic, I could hardly imagine that it would be the best evening of my life or that it would even change my life, the life I knew and loved.

After all, it was a new experience. And it wouldn't hurt me to let something new into my life, would it?
