Time went by really fast and suddenly it was already the end of February. Just like that. And man oh man can a lot happen in that relatively short time. Life kept us busy. With both of our jobs and with preparing for our baby of course.

Kyle's single career developed more and more into a huge success. Even though the breakup of the UE was tough on everyone involved and certainly gave them a hard time, there was no doubt that it would give them new momentum and boost individually.

While Kyle was at the vet with the dogs, for a checkup and their vaccinations, I took the opportunity to prepare a surprise for him. It hadn't been easy to keep it a secret from my husband, but I had somehow managed to do it.

I was packing the last things into the suitcase when I heard the front door open and my family come in. The patter of paws came closer and before I knew it the two dogs demanded my attention.

"Hello you little monsters! Are you all right? Where's Daddy?", I asked playfully.

"I'm here. What's with the bags by the door and what's with the suitcase?" asked Kyle confused as he joined us in the bedroom.

"Oh that? I'm packing, baby," I said.

"You're packing for what?" he wanted to know, still sounding confused.

"Because I'm leaving, of course," I replied, trying to stifle a laugh. I barely succeeded, though, given his horrified face.

"What? What do you mean you're leaving?" Kyle asked, his voice sounding like he was going to start panicking at any moment.

"Don't worry, handsome! I'll take you with me!" I assured him. I couldn't keep it to myself any longer now.

"Huh?" he spoke.

I started to laugh. I just couldn't help it. His confused face was just too adorable. I quickly wrapped my arms around his midsection and pulled him close to me. Well as close as I could for the moment.

"I have a little birthday surprise planned for you, my love. We're going away for the weekend. I've rented a little cottage by the beach. Just for you and me. And, of course, the fur balls. I figured since we didn't have a honeymoon and you had to work on Valentine's Day too, it's the perfect opportunity to get out of town. Plus, it's probably our last opportunity before this little guy is born." I explained, running my hands down his back.

"Oh my goodness, that's so great of you! A whole weekend just for us? Sounds almost too good to be true." replied Kyle happily.

"Yep, until noon on Monday. No work, no obligations. So, I've packed everything we need. All you have to do is pack your meds and we're good to go. It's only a two hour drive, but since your son likes to play with my bladder right now, we'll have to take lots of breaks," I said laughing and then stretched to kiss him.

"God, I love you so much, you know that?" he replied.

"I think you've mentioned that once or twice. And I love you too, baby." I replied with a smirk.

"Well, I guess I'll go get my stuff. I can't tell you how glad I am that you planned this for us. I think I need a little time out with everything that's going on right now. And don't get me wrong, I can't wait until the little bean is with us, but I love spending time alone with you. You are truly the best thing that could ever happen to me. I don't even care if they ever give me the NXT title." he told me and immediately tears came to my eyes. Again I pressed my lips to his.

"You're already a champion to me, Kyle! With or without this belt. You will always be a champion. And you know how I know that?" I spoke. He shook his head and waited for me to continue.

"Because you are a champion in here," I said, putting my hands gently to his face. "And what's even more important and bigger, you're a champion in here!" I continued and then rested my hand on his heart.

Kyle looked at me with love and gratitude as he placed his hand on top of mine.

"You really have your way with words. It's one of the reasons I fall more in love with you every day." he whispered to me.

"I love you Kyle and you deserve the world. I will always be there to support you." I replied softly, looking deep into his beautiful dark eyes.

"You are my world, beautiful! You and the little guy. No championship in the world could top what I already have." spoke Kyle. I felt deep in my heart that he meant every word. He would truly do anything for his family. That was something that would never change, no matter what challenges lay ahead of us.
