Since that exciting Wednesday, Kyle and I had been talking on the phone and texting every free minute we had. Especially in the evenings and at night, when we were both done with our busy days, we talked for what felt like hours.

And today was finally the day when we would officially go out for the first time. I had been waiting for a week to get a suggestion from Kyle on when this date should take place, but he took his time. Part of it had to do with the fact that we were both busy. However, I suspected that he was thinking a lot about what we were going to do.

It happened a few times that I had the feeling he would ask me questions to find out what I would like to do. However, that did not bring him much. I just said that I would agree with everything he planned. And that it wasn't necessary to worry so much about it, even though I really appreciated that Kyle was trying to make everything as perfect as possible.

At some point I told him that there was absolutely nothing wrong with dinner and a movie. But he did not want to hear about it. Kyle said that would be much too simple and that he would certainly come up with something better and more special.

It was really cute how much effort he put in to it. To be perfectly honest, he could probably do anything he wanted and I would go along with it. I wasn't sure what exactly it was, but I had a hard time resisting him. If we hadn't been interrupted back then, we would have made out right then and there.

So now I was standing in my bedroom getting ready for the long awaited date. I had no idea how Kyle's final plans looked like, so it was a little difficult to choose the right outfit. After some in and out, I finally chose a casual yet chic look. A simple black pair of pants completed with a black top and a light lace cardigan in blue. In addition, a pair of black canvas shoes. I hoped that it fit to whatever we would be doing.

I was just finished when the doorbell rang. As I made my way to open the door, my heart was pounding. It had been a while since my last date and I really liked Kyle. I reached for the door knob, but then paused for a moment and took a deep breath.

I opened the door and immediately a big smile appeared, not only on my face but also on his. He looked so handsome in his dark gray pants and baby blue button down shirt.

"Hi Kyle!" I said shyly.

"Hi Y/N! Wow, you look great!" he replied.

"Thank you. You look very handsome, too. Are we ready to go?" I wanted to know.

"You're welcome. I brought you these." said Kyle and then held up a bouquet of yellow tulips. I hadn't even noticed he was holding anything in his hand.

"That's so nice of you! Thank you. Come on in, please. I'll just put them in the water real quick." I replied as he handed me the flowers.

"Boy, you sure have a lot of books." he remarked when he noticed the wall of books in my living room.

After putting the flowers in a vase, I came back into the living room and placed them on the coffee table.

"Yes I know. It's a lot. I've always loved to read and well, write. But I have to confess I'm not a big fan of e-books. i like the feeling of holding a book in my hand and breathing in the scent of the paper. But let me tell you, this was not a joy to move. I swear the movers hate me," I said laughing as I joined him.

"I can't imagine anyone hating you. Are you ready to go?" asked Kyle.

"Yeah. Let's go," I replied, my cheeks flushed. I grabbed my purse and then we headed out.

During the ride we talked again about all sorts of things. But especially about his wrestling career. When I had first told him that I had never been allowed to watch wrestling as a child and that it had been my first show, he could hardly believe it.
