Kyle POV

"Hey, baby. I'm home! Where are you?" I called as soon as I entered the house. However, I didn't get any response. I set my bag aside and went in search of my beautiful fiancée.

"Baby?" I asked again.

"I'm in the bedroom. Don't come in!" she called back.

"What, why not? Come on let me in. I missed you!" I said as I paused in front of the closed door. It was TakeOver weekend, so I hadn't been home for a few days. Right now, I wanted nothing more than to hold my future wife in my arms.

"Because I'm trying on my wedding dress right now. But you are not allowed to see it. So please wait a few minutes. I'll take it off and be right with you, handsome!" she replied.

"Don't I even get a little preview?" I pouted.

"Nope, absolutely not!" I heard Y/N laugh.

"Oh man." I whined and waited impatiently for the door to open.

It didn't take long, thank God, and the door opened.

"Hey there. I missed you and the fur monsters missed you too!" said Y/N as she put her arms around my neck and pulled me close. I hugged her briefly and then gave her a much needed kiss.

However, it didn't take long for the dogs to interrupt us with their impatience.

"Yes you two. I missed you guys too!" I said to Molly and Hank as I leaned down to greet them.

"I think they missed you a lot this time. Those two didn't let me out of their sight all weekend. Even at night they wanted to go to bed with me, although normally they'd much rather stay in the living room." she mused.

"Really? That's weird," I replied.

"Yeah who knows. Have you eaten anything yet?" she then asked.

"I ate a snack on the plane, but it's time for something more substantial," I replied.

"Alright, I'll make us dinner. You can relax. I really need something to eat, too. I'm getting lightheaded." said Y/N and stretched to give me a kiss.

"Why are you feeling lightheaded? Haven't you eaten anything yet today?" I asked, concerned.

"I ate breakfast with BF/N and Jake, but I had terrible heartburn afterwards." she explained to me as we walked into the kitchen together. The dogs followed on our heels.

"That doesn't sound good. Are you sure everything is okay?" I wanted to know.

"Sure. I'm fine. Who knows, maybe I caught a bug." said Y/N shrugging her shoulders.

"Hmm..." was all I replied. It was probably nothing and yet I couldn't help but worry.

After we ate dinner together, we snuggled up on the couch to watch a movie and talk. I leaned into the pillows and pulled Y/N to my chest so she could nestle against me. Just the way she loved it.

"Ouch!" she groaned and sat back up.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I don't know, that just hurt my boob. Well, it was a little uncomfortable." Y/N replied, holding her boob.

Now I was starting to get really worried. What was going on here? Was this what I was secretly hoping for?

"Can I tell you something without you getting mad right away?" I wanted to know from her.

"You can at least try." she replied with a smile.

"Well, you're showing some signs of pregnancy, baby." I said cautiously, watching her facial expression.

"Kyle baby, you know how unlikely that is. And we've only been trying for three months. You shouldn't get your hopes up too high." she sighed, taking my hand in hers.

"I know. But unlikely doesn't mean impossible. And who knows? Maybe I'm just that good!" I said with a laugh and then winked at her.

"You wish! But seriously, you're not going to stop until I take a test, are you?" Y/N asked.

"Probably not. Think about it, honey. Your boobs are sensitive, you're lightheaded, the heartburn, and then the fact that the dogs follow you around all the time." I listed the facts.

After telling me about her condition, I started reading and researching. I also learned about the signs of pregnancy during that time.

"Okay fine. Then go to the store and get a test, but I'm telling you I'm not pregnant. After this, I don't want to hear about it again." she grumbled.

"To be honest. I already bought pregnancy tests. I'll get you one." I replied, jumping excitedly off the couch. Y/N followed me hesitantly. I knew she wanted nothing more than for me to be right. But still she was afraid of being disappointed and probably even more afraid of disappointing me.

I gave her one of the tests and she went into the bathroom with it.

"How's it going?" I asked impatiently through the door.

"Oh my God, Kyle. Get away from the door and don't talk to me. I can't when I know you're listening to me!" scolded Y/N.

I moved away from the door and sat on the bed. The seconds ticked by and felt like hours. Then finally the door opened and Y/N approached me with the test in hand.

"Okay, two minutes." she said softly and sat down on the bed with me.

I wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer to me. Immediately I felt how tense Y/N was. Soothingly, I rubbed her back while keeping an eye on the clock.

"Time's up. Shall we watch together?", I asked her and she simply nodded.

Slowly she turned the test around so we could both see the result.

"See? I told you I'm not pregnant." Y/N spoke softly and her sadness was clearly audible and palpable.

"I'm sorry, baby. I just had a good feeling. We'll keep trying." I replied softly and pressed a gentle kiss to her temple.

"I know. I'm going to take a quick shower and then go to bed. I'm tired." she said and gave me a quick kiss before getting up and going back into the bathroom.

I knew she was disappointed. I was disappointed too. It was clear that it would not be easy and yet I had had such a feeling.

My eyes wandered to the test Y/N had left on the bed and I took it in my hand with a sigh. As I stared at it, I suddenly saw it. Positive. It now read positive!

"Y/N! BABY! Come here!" I yelled in shock.

"What's wrong?" she wanted to know as she rushed out of the bathroom towards me.

"It's positive! We're having a baby!" I explained to her, tears of joy running down my face.

"What, what do you mean?" she asked and I handed her the now positive test.

Immediately one hand covered her mouth as she stared trembling at the pregnancy test in the other.

"We're having a baby..." she whispered in disbelief.

"We're having a baby!" I confirmed, hugging her gently as we both let our feelings run wild. We just stood there hugging each other.

No words in the world could describe how blissful we both were at that moment. Nothing else mattered. Just her and me and the new life we created.
