We danced for about ten more minutes. Then Kevin got his turn dancing with Gwen. I watched them happily dance together and sighed. I wished I had someone like that. Someone I could share everything with.

Kai had been great and all, but she just wasn't right for me. And I'll admit, I still have a bit of a grudge against her for all that stuff she said when we where kids. She also had another boy in her sights, and he was totally crazy about her already.

" Nice dance. Don't you think?" A mysterious voice said from behind me. I whirled around, practically jumping. A girl my age leaned against the wall. I looked at her from the top to the bottom.

She was wearing a long dark blue dress that sparkled. It covered her arms and legs. She wore black heels at the bottom. It was the kind of dress that was shaped in a way that you couldn't exactly tell what the persons body looked like underneath.

In fact, the only thing about her appearance that I was sure of was her caucasian skin and she had small feet. Her skin was so pale it almost looked like snow. But what made no sense about her outfit was the velvet hood that covered everything except full lips so red, I almost thought she was wearing lipstick.

A strand of blond hair fell out of her hood. She carefully placed it behind her ear, which was also hidden in the hood. She looked up at me, smiling guiltily.

" Sorry. I do have a way of sneaking up on people. Blame the agility classes, not me," she said. I laughed. I held out my hand.

" I'm Ben Tennyson."

" Hello Ben."

" So, why are you here?" The girl frowned. " I mean like, are you a Plumber?" The girl smiled mysteriously.

" You could say that.....Want to dance?" The question came so abruptly, I barely had time to think of an answer.

" Sure!" I blurted out. I wasn't sure what she really looked like under that hood, but I knew she must be beautiful, and she was really nice. "What song is next?"

" I don't know. Hold on....oh yes. It's a song from Earth. It's called: "When I Look At You". It's one of my favorites."

" Let's go!" I said, smiling. She hopped onto the dance floor. The next song played. What I was surprised by was why everyone seemed to create a circle around us and stopped dancing.

What I was ten times more surprised about was how incredible the girl was. She was dancing so gracefully, she must've been a ballerina at some point or another. I had never seen another human dance as gracefully as the girl. Not even Gwen, and she took Cotillion.

" Ben, you are so slow!" She said, laughing. I could barely keep up with her. She spun in incredible twists and shot her halfway across the wide circle. We.had stopped waltzing altogether and just danced normally.

I was pretty sure I looked like a fool compared to the girl. The song ended and everybody clapped for us. The girl sprinted back up to me. I didn't know what he body looked like under that dress, but I could tell she was super fit. Which made sense of course, for a Plumber.

" That was fun!" She said.

" It was. And you are amazing! How did you get so good?"

" Lots of practice." She smiled at me, and I could swear I saw her cheeks become a bit less pale under her hood. We walked outside into the gardens, where everyone was bording their spaceships to go home.

The girl curled a piece of hair that had fallen out while she was dancing. I smiled even wider. " Maybe we'll see each other later," she said with a flirty grin.

" Maybe I will."

" I guess we'll see if I do." At this point, I had stopped trying to be interesting and just started going back and forth with her.

" Is that a challenge?"

" If you want it to be."

" Well then, challenge excepted."

" Who ever see's the other first wins."

" I'll win."

" No I will."

" No I will."

" No I...."

" Oh for the love of mana!" Somebody else yelled from the bushes. My cousin walked out and crossed her arms. She tapped her foot on the ground. Kevin walked out from behind the bush as well and glared at me.

" We have to go now, or we'll be late picking up supplies from Galvan Prime. Just say goodbye to your girlfriend already."

" She's not my girlfriend!" I yelled. Kevin and Gwen where already walking away.

" Whatever Tennyson."

" Goodbye Ben." The girl started walking away. I started walking after Gwen and Kevin, but then realized I'd forgotten something. I started to turn around.

" Wait, I never got you're...." The girl was gone. But, that's impossible. It was an open field. The closest tree was at least fifteen yards away, and it was way too thin for her to hid behind.

" BEN TENNYSON!!" I heard Gwen scream from the Rust-Bucket III.

" Coming Gwen." I yelled back. We flew the jet up to the starship and retired for the night.

" What part of the Omniverse do we visit first?" I asked at breakfast the next morning.

" The Krono-Navigator says we're heading for an alternate timeline called the Gwen 10 Universe. Ben?" Gwen looked at me. I smiled guiltily.

" Actually, that one is a secret between me and Paradox. Remember the night I got the watch Gwen?" I asked. She smiled.

" How could I forget? You set my shoe on fire, didn't listen to me and nearly killed yourself, and saved me from a robot and a falling tree. In other words, it had been the weirdest day of my life up to that point," she said, smiling at me.

" Good times....anyway, in this universe, you go for that walk instead of me and find the Omnitrix while me and Grandpa are sleeping. A me in the only universe in the Multiverse without an Omnitrix went there once...." Gwen and Kevin stared at me like I was crazy.

" Long story. Basically, in this timeline, me and Gwen switch parts." I said. Gwen smiled mischievously.

" So, I get all you're powers, and you're just a tag-along, like I used to be? Nice." She gave me a look that said she'd been waiting to see a place like this. I smiled. She didn't know about the me in this world.

I may not have had the Omnitrix in this world, but several people, inculding my Gwen had told me that I didn't need the watch to be a hero. That was just as true about the me in this world.

Every Ben Tennyson in every world was a hero, whether or not they had the Omnitrix. The me in the universe without an Omnitrix had proved that.

Little did she or Kevin know, that I had planned this trip so we would arrive at a specific day, at a specific time in this timeline. Gwen was about to eat her words, and she didn't even know it.

(Sorry it's so short. I kinda wanted to make this one all mysterious and stuff.)
