" So, what's the nut job and her cousins story?" Ben asked an hour later. We had apparently teleported to the last place Shyira would ever think to look for us. In an abandoned mattress store in Bellwood.

Alex had hundreds of bandages across her body, and was laying down on a queen -sized bed with her head propped up on about ten pilliows and Ben was testing his neck reflexes. I sat next to Ben, flipping though pages of a medical book to take care of the serious injuries covering nearly every part of his body.

" It's long. Like, really long. Do you want to long version, or the less painful version?" She asked.

" Less painful please. I don't think I can take anymore pain anywhere." Ben yelped as I pressed my hand onto his chest. My hands weren't cold, but he had a large black and blue bruise covering where I had just placed it. My eyebrows furrowed.

" He really can't," I said, vouching for his previous statement.

" Okay. Where to start?. . . . A while ago—like, seven years ago—I had just discovered my powers, and a teacher from a school came to find me. Back then, I had absolutely no idea about my powers, my alien heritage, nothing.

When I did though, I was brought from one universe to another for orientation week. Some sort of inter-dimensional war people didn't want that though, so they followed me.

I got to meet everybody there, and every -thing that they did. In the one month of time I got before time school started, I wanted to make a big impression on everyone, so I decided to make a portal spell...and you know what happened from there.

After discovering you, your cousin, and your world, I didn't want to leave. But I had to--school was starting--. For the first two months, I did nothing but sneak off to enjoy your world.

Then, after summer in your world was over, I decided to focus more on my school work. I liked school, and I liked all my freinds, especially two in particular--my best friend--Shyira and Cassandra."

" Wait, wait, wait, hold up! Your best friend has two names?" Kevin asked.

" Oh, yeah. Forgot--you don't know what that is yet--okay, so my best freind was named Cassandra right? She performed a split spell on her soul. It split her into two people. Both with all her same personality, but with different looks.

They where both part of the same person. Anyway, we defeated Cass back when we where twelve. It was....pretty hard, and Ben; you revealed yourself as the person who was responsible for all the alien heros that save people, remember?" She asked.

I thought hard. I remembered watching Ben talk into a microphone in front of a football stadium full of reporters from all over the world. I remembered fighting a bunch of weirdo alien creeps or something to get him up there.

We had watched him tell everyone what it was like to be a hero the past two years. All the lessons he had learned. I also rembered tearing up at the last part. I was either sup -er sad about something, or super proud of Ben. Maybe both.

Me and Alex had walked out onto the stage, and Ben had gone over to us and put his arms around us and presented us to the reporters, who took millions of photos. Then Alex smiled at the reports and walked up to them. She had said something to a reporter who had walked up to her eagerly.
