" Nobody try's to kill my cousin! It's hero time!" I slapped the watch. In a flash of brilliant green, I had turned into Cromastone. Alex leaped off the stage, her hair whipping out in front of her.
Her significantly shorter blond hair grew rapidly as it flew in front of face.
It fell over her face in slow motion, like a golden wave. She was somehow even more gorgeous now that she had let down her hair. I felt my cheeks turn a dark shade of red.Ah, shut up! You're supposed to be focused on the enemy! Get out of your head! I thought, trying to snap out of it.
Alex's hands were enfugled in a rapidly growing amount of bright purple energy. She screamed in outrage and shot a gigantic blast of power at the girl, who got blasted halfway across the courtyard into a podium. The entire balcony collapsed on top of her. The girl climbed out of the rubble and sneered. My glare sharpened.
This girl is powerful. She snapped her fingers. A sound like thunder filled the sky. The skies filled what looked like magical clouds. Black lightning shot out of the cloud and struck the ground.
I gasped as the magic light ripped open three giant cracks in the ground. Alex let out what sounded like a lot of curses in Ancient Greek. Red light spilled out of the cracks and they split open further.
" You witch! Opening the gates of Tartarus is forbidden for someone without clearance from the Intergalactic Council. You know that! You'll get killed for that," she yelled.
" So what?" The girl asked. Alex's eyes widened in fear and shock. Then they narrowed into an even darker glare.
" You don't care? You don't care if you live or die?" Alex asked in a quieter tone. A deathly pale hand rose out of one of the cracks. It's red claws raked across the ground as it attempted to lift itself out of the portal.
The same thing happened in the other two seconds later. I ran up to the first crack and shot the hand with energy lasers. Gwen began to do the same with her mana attacks with the second hand. Rook shot the third with his proto tool. Aside from a couple loud hisses of pain from below, the attacks didn't seem to be doing much.
The creatures rose from out of the pit, getting more and more horrible the more they pulled their bodies out. They were shriveled harpies wearing ripped black cloaks over their ruined faces. They each held a long sword that looked rather bloodstained. Alex growled.
The demons opted to start attacking Gwen, Rook and Kevin. Probably meant as a distraction so Alex and that girl could have a one-on-one fight. I turned to the only remaining outlier. The witch's supposed cousin. He summoned what looked like a gigantic spirt wolf out of mid-air and smirked at me." Not really dressed for a fight, are you Princess Alexandra?" I heard the girl yell. Alex glared harder.
She raised her right hand in the air and then pressed the glowing tips to her heart. Her glittering blue dress instantly disappeared, and was replaced by a purple sorceress outfit with long hanging sleeves and a pointed hood attached. She wore high black boots that covered her knees.
"How about now, you wretched clone?"
" You never had much of a fashion sense."
