" Oh man," I said. A flash of light filled the room, and a goddess stood there. She was dressed in an old-fashioned greek dress with an old-fashioned wreath of victory on her head. She had long black hair, pale skin, and amber-colored eyes.

And she looked like she wanted us to participate in a battle to the death. I suddenly had the urge to wrestle Ben to the ground. Danny and Alex glared sharply at the woman. Ben and Danny turned to Alex, who nodded at them. Danny put his arms over his head dramatically.

" I'm going ghost!" Danny yelled. A bright white ring appeared around his waist. The rings split in two and spread over his body in opposite directions. Bright flashes of light blinked on and off around Danny, making his clothes look negative.

His black hair turned as white as Alex's skin, his skin tanned, his clothes turned into a black and white Hazmat suit, and his ice blue eyes glowed, turning neon green. So this was why he had been able to trigger that booby trap back there.

It wasn't because he had gone to a place filled with ghosts. It was because he was one! Ben pulled his watch up to his wrist and pressed a button, making the watch face pop up. He smirked at it, and  positioned his hand above it.

" It's hero time!" Ben yelled. He threw his hand down and the watch face got slammed back in. A blinding flash of brilliant green light hid a very quick transformation into what looked like a very large human man made entirely of crystal, or at least wearing a suit of crystal armor.

With a swift motion, Alex pulled out the green and purple rubber bands in her very long braid. Her blonde hair burst out of her skull in a giant golden wave and landed at her thighs.

She grasped her necklace with both hands and it glowed brightly inside. The necklace jewel glowed brightly inside her hands. Large amounts of energy blew her hair around her body and she let it go, and the purple light exploded around her.

With my limited knowledge of magic, I guessed that the necklace wasn't causing this. It was merely a  conductor, concentrating Alex's magic into a very effective transformation spell.

" For the honor of Hecate, the magic of the Moonstone is mine to control!"

She grasped her necklace with the moonlight stone inside with both hands and it glowed brightly inside. The necklace jewel glowed brightly inside her hands. Large amounts of energy blew her hair around her body and she let it go, and the purple light exploded around her.

The blinding energy made me squint. I stared in wonder at the place on the ground Alex had been floating above about a second ago. In her place, there was a body made entirely of light with Alex's head on top of it, her blonde hair swirling back and forth.

The body of light raised its hands above it's head suddenly the light climbed over her neck and covered her face and hair. The human made of light because a lot brighter, and then I saw Alex's regular human body again.

Only, she was barefoot, and not wearing the same outfit as before. She was wearing a beautiful purple off-the-shoulder dress outlined with gold that reached just above her ankles. She held her arms out at her sides and shimmering silver light traveled up from her wrists until they reached about two inches below her elbows.

The layer of light on her forearms solidified into silver bracelets. She knocked her ankles together, making her skin shimmer. White and purple energy started at her toes and circled around her feet until they reached her ankles, solidifying into slightly heeled black boots. Her closed eyes opened dramatically.

Her eyes, which were currently an ice blue that looked surprisingly like Danny's, flashed with white lightning-type energy and overtook the entire colored section. When the bright energy faded, her eyes were a gorgeous violet, jagged lines of remaining energy dancing across her stunning irises.
