" Come on. It's not like you're queen yet. There's still years before you're old enough right?" Kevin asked. Alex sighed.

" Yeah I guess. But, it's hard. I left Anodyne, and my training to escape from royal life. I don't want to be an alien princess. I like breaking fifty five-inch boards with my hands, and fighting bad guys, saving universes, and. . . .kissing boys.

Especially one in particular. . . ." She blushed and pushed a long strand of her behind her ear. I blushed too and smiled. " Gwen was right. I just want to be a girl. A normal human girl. Not an alien girl." She crossed her arms.

Gwen gave me a knowing smile. I remembered her saying something pretty similar to our grandmother about two years ago. She had made the same arguments.

" Well look at it this way. You're what? 60, 70 percent human right?" I asked.

" Actually, according to the Plumbers, I'm 56.582% human. The rest is alien DNA from my long bloodline. And only one percent of whats left is from a Celestialsapien, and me, out of all the rest of my ancestors, was the only one who got the spark, and the activated 1% Celestialsapien DNA."

" Whatever. The point is, your mostly human. That extra DNA makes you special. Believe me, you do not want to go through life thinking it'll be normal and provential forever." Gwen gaped at me.

I grinned at her. " That's right, I did learn what "provential" means." Alex sighed heavily. I put a hand on her shoulder. " Anyway, I used to think that my life was the most boring thing ever, like nothing special would ever happen to me.

I thought I was doomed to living in the most boring city in the country in the most average world in the universe forever. Then this thing happened to me, and it changed my life forever. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for this thing." I gestured to the watch.

" I know, I've counted."

" Huh?" I asked.

" I've counted how many things that watch has effected, by comparing your universe to the universe/alternate timeline where there is no Omnitrix. Almost every aspect of who you are now is because of the day you got the Omnitrix, six and a half years ago. Any misstep in that day would cause a very different future," she said. I sighed.

" Anyway, it's better to stand out in this world them blend into the backround. And you do kinda stand out in a city like Bellwood." I said quietly. We both blushed. Gwen shot me a glare from scross the floor and we had a silent argument back and forth.

Gwen: You so like her! Just ask her out already!

Me: She does not! And even if she did, what makes you think I like her?

Gwen: Oh please. You couldn't say you had a crush on her more if you wrote a hundred love letters and yelled it at the top of your lungs.

Me: Let's say for a second that you where right. She's the hottest, most incredible girl we've ever met. And she's royalty. How do I mesure up to that?

Gwen: You don't have to. She already likes you.

Me: Fine you win. I'll ask her out at her coronation okay?

Gwen looked away and gave me a satisfactory smile. I glanced at Alex, smiling.

*Gwen*

We walked down isles of clothes, looking for something gorgeous. Alex walked behind me with crossed arms and a raised eyebrow. She shot a dirty glare every time she noticed me looking back at her, which was every time. Mind-reading. Makes it impossible to catch anyone by surprise.
