Chapter 14: The Rooters

Alex looked at the three aliens walking towards her and grinned. For some reason, she actully walked closer to them. The kids took this as a challenge and started to run at her.

Once all three of the alien kids had gotten within touching facility, she bended backwards and kicked out her feet. She hit the Heatblast kid and the Fourarms, but the XLR8 girl dodged.

She back-flipped onto the sidewalk and set her body into a stance I'd seen Gwen do a million times at her karate tournaments. Alex even wore the same sly smile Gwen did when she faced an enemy during one. Basically, what it meant was: "Come and get me if your not cowards."

" Well, this is as good a time as ever to give up," said Kevin as he and Peirce walked towards me and Gwen. I glanced at my watch. It was my lucky day--which was nearly imposssible when it came to the Omnitrix. The watch was in the green.

" Actually, it's hero time!" I corrected. I slapped the watch and turned into Wildvine. I shot a couple spikes at he Porcupine kid--who barely dodged them--and then proceeded to take down Kevin.

I punched the asphalt and vines shot out of the ground and tried to wrap around Kevin, who jumped on top of them. I knew what his goal was, and it didn't matter if I didn't have any new aliens DNA to offer him.

He would still go insane with power, and be dangerous beyond belief. I had half a heart to let him make himself nuts, but I wasn't that cruel. In fact, I still hung on to the possiblity that he was a good person deep down.

I had some high hopes for when I finally got him to Juvie. We had been good freind's before I had figured out he was a selfish jerk. Maybe, once he had reformed in a mental facility, we could hang out again. But that was only of course, if I could get him in jail.

" So, you got a new girlfriend now?" Kevin asked as he continously dodged my attacks. I felt my cheeks light on fire. I didn't think a plant could blush, but, inside of Wildvine, my human body was as red as a tomato.

" Um...." Kevin laughed before I could start the sentence.

" Just kidding. There is no way a girl that smoking hot is into you," he said. Alex glared across the battle field at Kevin. She used the Fourarms's kids momentum to launch herself at us. She landed two feet from me and put her hands on her hips.

" Hey! I would date a guy who risks his life for the greater good then a guy who wants sick revenge on someone who didn't do anything to him any day!" She said.

*Eleven-Year-Old Gwen*

Ben smiled at Alex. The sly smile on Kevin's face disappeared. Being burned by a hot girl was a huge blow to any boy, no matter how evil. He ran straight up to Ben and made a grab for the Omnitrix. Ben quickly moved out of the way. Kevin ended up grabbing Alex's forarm. She gasped.

She was suddenly surrounded by violet energy as her magic was sucked into Kevin. But, something incredible happened. Her eyes narrowed and her hair started to glow. Kevin struggled to keep his grip on her arm, but Alex wasn't fighting him.

I watched in wonder as her blond hair started to glow, energy flowing out of her skull and traveling down her hair. Her eyes became gold, all the way up to the pupils. Huge bursts of energy flew off her, but she stood her ground.

Kevin's combat boots where starting to slip off the ground. Alex closed her eyes, and pushed Kevin away from her with a massive amount of energy. Kevin was shot backward.

Alex dropped to the ground in exhaustion. She pulled herself up on the wall and looked up at Ben with a tired smile. I grinned brightly. I would have to have a "Girl Talk" with Alex later.
