The class smiled at me, impressed with my passion and dedication towards this subject. I pointed at the blonde male in the audience who couldn't help but stare at me

" You're next, Katsuki Bakugo." Katsuki stood up and walked forward with a confident smirk.

" I'll annihilate you," he told me. My lip curled to the side.

" I'd like to see you try." Ben sighed and shook his head at the boy.

" Ben, do me a favor and protect the students from any rouge blasts. This is gonna get rough," I said. He nodded. Bakugo stepped in front of me with his gauntlets aimed at me. He growled and ran forward.

" This is where you DIE!" he yelled. He let loose a giant explosion. I dove to the side, rolled and then stood. He was on me in an instant. I was mildly impressed by how quick his reaction time was.

My energy blasts did little. My hand to hand needed to be a lot faster then normal to actually land a hit, which I did. In five places. But I was starting to get annoyed that my minimum power wasn't enough to take him out.

There's no way he's this good! He's my age and I'm stronger. So what gives? I wondered.

" Give up before I draw blood from your skin," I warned him.

" Never gonna happen, Blondie!" He yelled, swinging a left hook at my face. I swerved to the right and grabbed his arm. He gasped when I did so. Most likely, he had been planning to pull back before I could grab him again. But he'd underestimated my speed. I could see his mind recalculating his attack strategy. No way I was giving him a chance to think.

" Vis amplificationem!" I yelled. I threw him across the room. A boost of extra force cracked the wall behind him. He groaned in pain, but still stood up. I bit my lip when I saw a few drops of blood fall off his arm.

" That's it!" He jumped up high and flew forward on an explosion. Then he held his hands in front of his face again. I held up my hand, feeling my eyes begin to brighten with energy. A wall of glowing violet mana appeared in front of me.

Bakugo's explosion blew my hair off my shoulders. I looked behind the sheild to see where he had landed. I smirked when the bewildered look on his face. " Seriously? Not even a single crack?" I smiled and took my hands away, cutting the connection to the shield, which dissipated. He growled in annoyance.

Bakugo ran at me, putting his hands behind him. Loud explosions propelled him at a high rate of speed. I jumped high over him and then shoved his body down with my feet. The concrete around him splintered and flew up.

I jumped off of Bakugo and reached down, grasping his collar. I pulled him up to eye-level, debris falling off his shoulders. My eyes widened at the sight. A thick stream of blood ran down his left cheek and the right side of his forehead.

" Oh gods, are you okay?" I asked, setting him down. Instantly, his knees wobbled so much that he dropped to the floor. I must've been hitting harder then I thought. I reached down to touch his forehead, but he grasped my wrist before I could–ignoring the fact that the spike-covered leather bracelet was making him bleed even more.

" Dammit! You're just like that damn nerd! Stop worrying about your opponents!" He yelled weakly, trying to shove my hand away.

" But. . . ," I started, staring at the blood dripping off his chin. I couldn't just let him get more bloodied.

" Listen, Blondie. If it's the last thing I do, I'll make you acknowledge me," said Katsuki with a determined glare. I backed away. He wasn't gonna give up until he proved himself. I thought along the same lines. " A real hero never quits.
