Chapter 31: The Only Word For It Is Miraculous: Part 1

" So, explain these guys to me one more time," Ray Ray said. Alex facepalmed.

" Oh man...," Alex groaned.

" Please, just one more time?" He asked. Alex pinched the bridge of her nose.

" Fine! In the next dimension, we're recruiting two teenagers with magical animal jewels that let them transform into superheroes. They have an arch enemy named Shadow Moth who akumatizes people who are feeling negative emotions.

He gives them super powers, but makes them into super villans, all so he can get his hands on the teenagers Miraculous, which are the names of the magical jewels they command. And the two Miraculous these teens possess are the two most powerful of them all.

The earrings of the ladybug, which grant the power of creation, and the ring of the black cat, which grants the power of destruction. In a nutshell, the earrings are lucky and the ring is unlucky, which you might've already guessed from the animals they represent," she said.

" Okay, cool!" Ray Ray said. Jake, Juniper, Gwen, Ben, Kevin, Jim, Claire, Sam, Tucker, Jazz, and I looked back at Alex. She sighed. " And now, to the people that can understand the complicated stuff, I'm going to repeat this one more time.

The oddest part is, the jewels themselves aren't the magic part. They are only act as conductors from the magical source to the human wearing them. An ancient race known as the Kwami's that were created at the very start of all existence were each tasked with a magical jewel that would hold their power.

The Kwami's were tested physically and mentally to see who would be given the strongest of the magic. In the end, a single female and male Kwami were chosen to become the most powerful. Each were deeply honored to have been chosen to protect their Multiverse and bravely accepted.

Tikki, the Kwami of Creation was infused with the smallest amount of power posible from the primordial being Order, and symbolizes Yang. Plagg, the Kwami of Destruction was infused with the smallest amount of power from primordial being Chaos and symbolizes Yin.

The name Tikki means happiness, like what she brings from her power of good luck. The name Plagg is derived from plague, like the horrors he has caused from using the power of bad luck. If Kwami's use their divine powers without it being channeled through a human host, the result will always be a horrible disaster.

But the worst disasters of all time-space in that Multiverse were caused by the unleashed power of Tikki and Plagg. Especially Plagg. Anyway, the current owners of these Miraculous are named Marinette and Adrien.

They currently live in Paris, France, defeating and rescuing the akumatized victims of Shadow Moth, who has combined the powers of the Moth and Peacock Miraculous together. This recruitment mission will be one of the hardest we have to accomplish. I need Danny, Gwen, Juniper, Jake, and Jazz," Alex said.

" Wow, try saying that five times fast," said Ben.

" Yeah, what's up with everyone having a name that starts with J? It's crazy!" Kevin said. Alex shrugged.

" While we're gone, would you guys introduce Hayley to Ray Ray? He's clearly not going to listen to me, so someone his age might have better luck.

He still thinks animal spirits are possessing Marinette and Adrien," she said. Jake and Juniper each crossed their arms and raised an eyebrow at Alex.
