Over the course of two weeks, Oscar got much better at sign language, especially understanding.

It got to the point where he'd sometimes look stuff up on his own time and surprise Antonio the next day by showing him what he knew.

He never got tired of the look on Antonio's face when he did that.

Oscar sat in the Library, doing a bit a homework while he waited for Antonio.

Sure, Oscar hated school, but hated disappointing teachers and his uncle more than that, so he did his work.

He had had a free period for last period while Antonio had his Math Honors.

Antonio walks into the Library, placing his backpack on the floor next to his seat and sitting across from Oscar.

Oscar looks up at him.

Antonio looked annoyed. 'I swear my Math teacher insists on playing videos without captions and then Mush has to ask him to use them.' He signs.
(A/N, I complain about this a lot, but not in Math.)

Oscar frowns. 'Sorry, Toni.'

Antonio shrugs a bit.

'Look what I learned.' Oscar signs, putting his pencil down and smiling.

Antonio looks at him expectedly.

Oscar signs 'I'm home with you and I love you.'

Antonio smiles. 'That's great, Osc!'

Oscar smiles.

He's a bit oblivious.

Oscar shrugs to himself. That's fine.

Antonio looks at Oscar's work. 'Math work?' He signs, raising an eyebrow.

Oscar nods. 'I hate Math so much. I don't know how people can be in Math honors.' He signs back, sighing softly.

Antonio shoots him a smirk. 'And I can't hear.'

Oscar rolls his eyes. 'It's seriously impressive, Toni.' He responds.

Antonio smiles.

Oscar swore he saw the slightest bit of blush on his face, but he shrugged it off.

It probably wasn't blush.

Antonio smiles a bit, looking like he was hiding something.

Oscar shrugged it off.

Whatever it is, he'll tell me soon.

'So,' Antonio starts signing. 'What do you want go learn today?'

'Desserts.' Oscar answers.
