Third Person POVA/N, I'm back with the madness! Of Newsies placements! (Please read this to the tune of the song by Fall Out Boy lol.) Anyways, excuse my geek out and bad grammar (I'm allowed to have poor grammar outside of writing), and enjoy!
"Tommyyyy!!!"
Tommy boy felt arms wrap around his neck and someone plop down next to him. He smiled to himself, his cheeks a bit red. "Hi, Ellie."
Elmer smiled, resting his chin on Tommy boy's shoulder. He looked over curiously. "What are you doingggg?"
Tommy boy chuckled. "Looking at words on a pape and trying to figure out if they want to go into my brain or not," he answered, still looking down at the paper he held.
Elmer hummed. "Sounds thrilling." He rolled over and laid on the ground next to him.
Tommy boy's brown eyes flicked over to him for a moment to make sure he was okay, before he looked back at the paper. He chuckled. "Sure."
Elmer laid there in silence for a moment, enjoying Tommy boy's presence. Then, he spoke up. "Wanna sell together?" he chirped, propping himself up on his elbows.
Tommy boy smiled. "I'd love to, but usually, Jack doesn't let us sell together," he reminded him.
Elmer frowned. He looked over at where the boy sat with his boyfriend, second in command, and nerdy best friend. He pursed his lips. "Give me a second."
"El-" Tommy boy stopped, knowing it was useless when the boy got up and started walking away. He sighed. "Oh boy."
Elmer bounced over to Jack. "Hiiii, Jackie!"
Jack looked up at him. He immediately noticed the look on his face and frowned. "I know that face."
The other three boys who were sitting with him looked up at Elmer.
Davey's eyebrows furrowed. "What face?" he mumbled.
Crutchie shook his head. Davey was still new and learning the ropes.
Race grinned to himself. "That, mio amico, is the face El makes when he wants something, usually a thing that has to do with his boyfriend," he informed him, rolling up the paper he had been reading. He stood up. "I'm leaving you all to deal with this in favor of my boyfriend. Ciao." He tipped his hat and walked away.
Jack rolled his eyes fondly. "What a great second in command I have," he grumbled.
Crutchie smacked his arm lightly. "You love him."
Jack sighed. "I guess." He looked up at Elmer. "What can I do for you, El?"
Elmer, who had been watching a bird, was snapped out of it. He grinned. "Can I sell with my boyfriend today?!!"
Jack grimaced.
Of course, it had to be a question about his boyfriend and selling.
Jack looked over at Tommy boy, who was sat on a crate, still reading his paper. He sighed, turning back to Elmer. "Will you and Tommy be able to sell at all?" he questioned.
"Yep! Always!"
Jack shook his head. "You say that every time," he muttered to himself, looking down at Crutchie, who was laying with his head in his lap.
"Just let them for today," the dirty blond-haired boy mumbled to him, staring up and into his eyes. "It'll make them happy and they don't need to worry about Lodge prices again until next week," he reminded him.
Jack sighed. He looked up at Elmer. "Sure. Make sure you two actually sell though," he told him.
Elmer grinned. "Thank you, Jackie!" He turned and bounced back over to his boyfriend.
Davey watched him go back to his boyfriend, then looked at Jack and Crutchie. He sighed, resting his chin in his hands. "I'm too single to be surrounded by couples all day," he muttered.
"Then find someone who wants you." Les looked over at his brother. He pursed his lips. "I'm sure there's at least one social outcast at school who'd be interested."
Davey rolled his eyes fondly.
Elmer plopped himself down on the ground next to Tommy boy. "He said 'yes'!" He grinned.
Tommy boy looked up at him. He chuckled. He was slightly impressed and yet, at the same time, he was not super shocked that Jack gave in to Elmer's puppy eyes. "Awesome." He smiled at him.
Elmer felt himself melt. "Oh my gosh! You have the cutest smile! Has anyone told you that before?!" He reached up and cupped Tommy boy's cheeks.
Tommy boy blushed. "You have..." he mumbled, "many times."
"It's so pretty and so bright! It's like the sun! Except, I won't get blinded by your smile like I will the sun. Well- maybe, I will. You never know. It may just make me pass out one day; it's just that amazing. It's like you. You're amazing. Truly. I can't believe I have such an amazing boyfriend, with such an amazing smile," Elmer rambled on, staring into Tommy boy's eyes.
Tommy boy's cheeks reddened further. He guessed part of him should be used to this, and yet, he figured he never would be. Tommy boy smiled, cupping Elmer's cheeks. "My smile is only bright because I have a light in my life that helps me to keep smiling," he responded softly.
Elmer blushed. He cooed. "Oh my gosh! You're so sweet!" he gushed. "Have I ever mentioned I love you? Because I do! I love you more than words know!"
Tommy boy chuckled. He was pretty sure that wasn't the correct phrase, but didn't bother correcting him. It was cute either way. "I love you too, more than words will ever express."
Elmer smiled. He leaned his forehead against Tommy boy's and rubbed their noses together.
Tommy boy giggled softly, causing his boyfriend to giggle.
A few minutes later
"Oooh! That's the correct phrase! 'More than words can express'!"
Tommy boy laid back against the crate, a light laugh leaving him.
Man, he loved this boy.

This was cute. I'm actually quite proud of most of this one (though Davey and Les's interaction could've been better lol).
