- Chapter 91 - Running from your Problems; Does it Actually Work? -
Warnings: Snyder, stress, crying, idk
Canon Era
Third Person POVYes, I know Jack x Race x Spot is a little random.
This was requested to be put into this book by the lovely Bubbles070506 because it was in my 100-Days One-Shot book, but that is being edited right now, so this chapter isn't available to see for anyone other than me in it right now.Race kept running.
His legs felt like they were going to give out any minute and his lungs felt like they were on fire.
They were screaming for air, air that Race was failing to give them at the moment.
He had to get out.
He had to get away.
Far, far away.
Away from Manhattan.
Away from Brooklyn.
Just for a bit.
Snyder was trying to track him down, he had gotten into multiple fights his Jack and Spot, and he hadn't been sleeping in a few days.
They might've been trying to help him at points, as they were getting worried about his sleeping and eating schedule- which was pretty much nonexistent at this point- but they were also being way too overprotective.
Forcing him to sell with them, not letting him go anywhere alone.
He may say that he isn't scared of Snyder, and he tries not to be, but he is.
Even then, he was not going to let some fat, old man, scare him into staying hidden away forever.
"When we became street kids," Race starts. "This is what we got ourselves into!" He exclaims, looking slightly desperate. "We know this! We have known this! I've been doing this for years, Snyder isn't going to stop me. Not now, not ever." He spits.
Race forced tears to stay in his eyes.
He wasn't going to cry again.
"Race," Jack starts, staring at his sobbing boyfriend. "I know that you're tired of being watched over, I know that this is stressful, but we just want to help." He says softly.
Race collapsed in an alleyway.
He was still in New York, but he wasn't in Manhattan or Brooklyn anymore.
"But you're not!" Race shouts, tears streaming down his face. "I don't need your help right now! I've been stuck with the two of you in Manhattan and Brooklyn for weeks now!" He exclaims, waving his arms around. "I need freedom!" He chokes back a sob,
In a way, Race did feel free now.
But he still felt trapped.
Trapped by fear.
Trapped by longing to be in his boyfriends' arms.
