You take deep breaths and straighten out your wedding dress. It went to the floor and the train trailed out about four feet behind you. The chest was encrusted with crystals that caught the light perfectly and shine brightly. It looked kind of like Cinderella's dress, but strapless, white, and not as wide.
Your hair was curled in little ringlets an fell down to the middle of your back. Your make-up was light and the mascara was done perfectly, bringing out your eyes majorly. A crystal pin pinned back your bangs, the hair it held twisted, and reflected the sun shining in trough the window. The pin was your great-grandmother's but still shined like it was brand new.
Alex comes up behind you, smiling. She looks at you through the mirror set up in front of you.
"You look amazing. Nathan is going to have trouble saying his words." She laughs. You laugh along.
"I hope not." You say.
"It could happen!"
"Don't say that or it will!" You laugh.
"How does it feel getting ready to be Mrs. Sykes?"
"Honestly, it feels like a dream. Like this all never happened. But it has. I'm really in a wedding dress, waiting to walk down the aisle, and marry the guy I love."
"This is so exciting! I can't believe you're finally getting married!" She says. You laugh at her excitement. "You deserve this. You deserve the happiness and love Nathan will bring you more than words could describe. You were always there for me, always so caring and helpful. Now, I'm going to be here for you. Your journey is only just beginning. Don't forget me." She says, tears in her eyes. Not sad tears but happy tears.
"I won't. I promise you. After all, you're going out with one of my soon-to-be-husband's best friends!" You say. Alex and Tom have been going out for about two months now; a month after Nathan proposed to you. They were great together and you've never seen Alex more happy in her life.
"You're right." She laughs. "I love you, Y/N. Now let's get you married!" She says, taking your hand and leading you to the door. Her light pink maid of honor dress went above her knees and had little spaghetti straps. Her curled hair and diamond necklace went with it well and she looked really pretty.
You hear the music start playing after what seemed like three seconds. Alex, Nareesha (Siva's girlfriend), Sam (your cousin), Jess (Nathan's sister), Tom, Max, Jay, and Siva were already in their places, waiting for me to start walking down the aisle. Nathan had his back turned to me, in his black tux, and turned when the music started playing. His eyes go wide when he sees you and his jaw drops before he quickly closes his mouth.
You blush at all the attention on you and your father takes your arm. He walks you down the aisle and hands you off to Nathan, taking his seat in the front row by your mother. Nathan smiles at you and helps you onto the podium.
The whole time the minister was talking, you couldn't concentrate. Nathan's green eyes were staring right at you and his smile both put you in a sort of trance.
"I do." You hear Nathan say. Surprisingly, you're right on time to say those two words even though you didn't know what exactly was being said.
"I do." You say. Instincts took over and you did everything you had to on auto-pilot mode. Nathan slips the wedding ring on your finger and you do the same to him. He keeps smiling and you keep smiling back.
"You may now kiss the bride." The minister says. Nathan puts his hands in your waist and pulls you close. He looks into your eyes one last time before grabbing your face with either hand and kissing you.
The people around you whistled, smiled, clapped, and laughed. When you an Nathan pull away, you see that the boys were making faces behind Nathan's back. You laugh along with everyone else and Nathan looks at you questioningly before turning around. The boys stop quickly and act like they did nothing.
"Of course." Nathan rolls his eyes and laughs. He takes your hand and you walk down the aisle together to the limo out front that was taking you to the wedding reception.
You get in, Nathan sitting beside you, and kiss one more as the driver closes the door. He smiles at you after pulling away.
"You look insanely beautiful, Mrs. Sykes." He says. You smile.
"You look insanely handsome, Mr. Sykes." You reply. He smiles.
"I love you." He says.
"I love you too." You say. He wraps his arms around you and holds you tightly.
When you get to the reception hall, you guys get out and head to the big table at the back. Everyone arrives and Alex and Tom make their speeches. Then, it was time to eat.
You had a big vanilla cake that was almost too beautiful to eat. But, it's cake, so you know. There was salad, steak, wine (juice for kids), fruit trays, vegetable trays, ice cream, little sandwiches (turkey and ham), and chicken.
After everyone had eaten, Fall For You by Secondhand Serenade starts to play and Nathan takes your hand, leading you to the dance floor.
"You're impossible to find." Nathan whispers in your ear when the song ends. You smile. That was your favourite part in the song.
"Give it up for Mr. and Mrs. Sykes!" The DJ shouts. Everyone claps and whistles. Then, the DJ turns Glad You Came on and everyone starts to dance. You laugh and keep dancing with Nathan, just not slow dancing.
When the reception was over, you get back into he limo that already had your bags and suitcases in it and start driving to the airport for your honeymoon- which was in none other than Hawaii.
Like Alex said, this was only the beginning of your journey. You had the love of your life by your side and you were ready for anything to come.
Almost as if he was reading your mind, Nathan whispers into your ear, holding your hand: "I've got you and you've got me." -Quoting the lyrics from Gold Forever
