With Nathan sleeping beside your hospital bed, holding your hand, and not leaving your side, you desperately wanted to wake up from your coma. You wanted to hug him tight. Tell him that it's not his fault.

The other boys paced back and forth across the room, impatient for you to wake up, too. Nath hardly got any sleep he worried about you so much, so they tried to be as quiet as possible to not wake him up. Alex was usually on your other side but she's at home resting.

At about ten o'clock at night, Nathan was awake. He only got about five hours of sleep, but he didn't care. He didn't want to miss much of anything about you, even the slight rising and falling of your chest as you breathe. The lads went home for the night, wanting to give Nath some time with you.

"I'm not leaving." He whispered. He turned on the tv to one of the shows you like. He adjusted the hat he had on with his free hand. It was the hat that you thought looked best on him. Once again memories of you two together ran through his head. A single tear went down his cheek. It was really hurting him not having you responsive. He, too, wanted you in his arms again. Once you were, he wouldn't let go.

Later on he fell asleep once more. You gathered all of your strength and tried as hard as you possibly could to wake up. Just when you thought it was going to be another futile attempt, you opened your eyes. Looking down at your left hand, the one Nath was holding, you closed your fingers around his.

Slowly you sit up. "Nathan." You whisper softly. "Nath, it's your turn to wake up."

He lifted his head. "Y/N!" He said. He hugged you and when he pulled away, he looked into your eyes and kissed you. His eyes watered. "I missed you!"

"I miss you, too." You say quietly. Then you added, "And I love you, too."

He smiled. "You heard what I said?" He asked.

"Yeah." You say. "I did. It's not your fault."

"I feel like it is. I should've stayed with you."

"It's fine. I'm okay." When you said that you suddenly grew really tired. Nath saw and lay you back down in the bed.

"I'll get the nurse." He says and kisses your cheek. He quietly leaves the room, excitement in his steps.

When he returned your nurse and doctor had some questions to ask you. Mostly about how you felt. But eventually the doctor asked the question you knew was coming. "Who did this to you?"

Nathan took your hand to comfort you. He knew you didn't like to mention Penny. You told the doctor that it was Penny, and where she lived. When you did he looked puzzled.

"She is the one who found you." He said. "She said that you had told her a couple hours before the incident that you were going to try to kill yourself. She got worried when she said you never answered her calls and went to check on you. She got the spare key to your house and found you unconscious on the floor."

You looked at Nath. "No. That never happened. I was sad because my boyfriend had to leave town for something, but I wouldn't kill myself over that. I was sleeping on my couch when I woke up to a noise I thought I had heard. I figured it was just my imagination and went back to sleep. The next time I woke up, maybe ten minutes later or so, my front door was open. I wasn't thinking straight so I got up and closed the door. I made sure I locked it. I turned around and Penny was there. She told me that she warned me to stay away my my best friend, Alex, and I should've listened. She pushed me against the door, obviously causing my to hit my head. Apparently really hard, since I've been in a coma. Everything went black, but I could hear what was going on around me after some time." You say.

The doctor nods. "Very well. I'll mention that. Now you get some rest. And as of you," He looks in Nathan's direction. "I recommend you leave. I don't care if you are her boyfriend. She needs rest."

"Please, let him stay. I need him here." You say tightening your grip on Nath's hand.

"Okay." He said. He left the room.

"From now on, you're going with me."

      "What?" You ask, confused.

"You're going with me on tour and to my concerts. I'm not going anywhere without you." He says.

"Okay." You smile. You give him a long hug. Being in his arms again made you feel all warm and safe.

You looked around the room and noticed there was a whiteboard in front of you. There was a picture at one of the corners. It's the picture of you and Nath in the park that one day.

     "It's my favorite." Nathan says.

    "Mine too." You say.
