Part 27

   You and Nathan went into the living room and sat on the couch. Maggie was still running around the house. Nathan laughs.

     "How about we order some pizza?" He suggests. "I'm starving!"

       "Great! And same here." You laugh. He pulls out his cell phone and orders a large pizza.

        When the pizza man got to Nath's place, you picked out a movie. Maggie settled down and chewed on a toy pig. Occasionally, she would bite the squeaker, jump up, run away, and come right back. You laughed.

      After the movie ended, it was late. You were really tired, so you got up to change and go to bed.

    "Where're you going?" Nathan asked.

    "Bed. I'm so tired." You answer. He got up and gave you a hug.

    "Be there in a minute."

    "Okay." You say and smile. you make your way up the steps, trying really hard not to fall. At the top of the steps, you turned left into your new room and ran into the door. "Ow." You mumble as you open the door. Then, realising what just happened, you laughed. Yep, you were definitely tired.

    You changed into your pajamas and crawled under the covers. When you were about half asleep, you feel Nathan get in bed beside you. You feel him wrap one of his arms around you and pull you close. He leaned over and kissed you on your forehead.

     "I love you, Y/N. Goodnight." He whispered before laying back down, still holding you tightly. You were too tired to respond to him, so you just snuggled closer to him. The warmth of his body and protection of his strong arms made you feel safe.

    You open your eyes to a sunshine-filled room. Nathan still had you wrapped in his arms and was quietly sleeping. You turned your head to look at him. He looks so cute, you think and smile at him. Maggie was laying on his feet, all sprawled out and snoring. You laugh quietly at that.

     Nath opened his eyes and looked at you. He smiled. "Morning, love." He said.

     "Morning, Nathan."

     "I only get a 'morning, Nathan'?" He said, pretending to look offended.

    "Morning, sloth." You say and grin at him.

     "Nice save." He jokes.

    "Well, you know." You wink. "I'm gonna get in the shower." You say, getting up out of bed.

    "Don't have too much fun."

    "It's no fun that way!" You protest. He laughs. You grab a towel and go into the bathroom. You start the water and get in. When you got out, you dried off, wrapped the towel around you, and made your way to the room.

    Nathan was walking out when you were walking in and you almost ran into each other.

   "Hello there." He laughed.

    "Hi. Now if you will excuse me so I can get dressed, I would appreciate it." You laugh.

    "Nah. I'm good." He said, leaning in the doorway.

     "Nathan! Move!" You laugh.

     "What do I get in exchange?" He grinned.

     "That depends. What do you want?"

     "You should know." He winked. You slap his arm. "I didn't mean it that way!" He laughed.

     "Sure you didn't." You laugh.

      "Just kiss me and I'll move."

     "Hm....Kiss you or walk around in a towel all day..." You say, pretending like you had to think really hard.

      "Haha, very funny." He said, making a face. You laugh and stand on the tip of your toes so your face is level with his. You kiss him and he smiles. He steps aside so you can get into the room.

     "Thank you." You say and shut the door behind you. You get dressed real fast, knowing he was still outside the door, and act like you were still changing. "Don't come in, Nathan! I'm still getting dressed!" You call out and laugh quietly to yourself.

     "I just realised I forgot my, uh, my phone!" He said, opening the door and walking in. You stand in front of him with your arms crossed.

    "Good try." You say.

    "Apparently not good enough." He laughed. He gets into the shower himself and you go downstairs to feed Maggie. Nath came downstairs, hair still wet, and walked up behind you. He pulled you into a hug and kissed the top of your head.

    "Let's go to the store. You have nothing that I can cook." You say. He laughs. He grabs his keys, you both tell Maggie bye, and get into the car. He drives to the nearest grocery store and takes your hand as you walk through the doors. You were immediately hit by a rush of cold air.

    You and Nathan walk down the aisles, joking around with each other. When you had gotten what you needed, plus some snacks and drinks, you head to the check-out. Back in the car, Nath turned on the radio and Glad You Came was playing.

   You look at each other and laugh. He starts singing along and you do, too. When it was over he smiled at you.

   "What?" You ask.

   "Nothing. You're just so cute when you sing." He says and you blush.

      Back at the house, you make some toast, bacon, and pancakes. You and Nath eat and go into the living room. Just then, your phone rang.

     "Hello?" You answer.

     "Y/N!" It was Alex.

      "Hey, Alex! What's up?" You ask.

       "Nothing much. I have something to tell you."

      "Okay." You said. Nathan puts his arm around you and you snuggle into him.

      "I was talking to Jay and I know the 'secret'." She said.

      "Of course you do." You laugh. "Did you just call me to rub it in?" You ask.

      "Pretty much." She laughed. "But you know I still love you."

      "Yeah, sure." You joke. Nathan smiles.

       "I'm gonna go. I have to get to work. The remodeling is done, by the way."

       "Nice. Did you explain to boss that I can't come to work right now?"

        "Yeah. She understands. She's happy for you and Nathan."

        "Tell her I said thanks." You laugh.

         "Okay. Bye."

         "Bye, love you."

         "You too." She hung up.

           Nathan raised an eyebrow. "I thought you loved me?" He said.

          "I do!"

           "I've been replaced." He sniffed.

            "No you haven't. I still love you more." You say and look up at him.

           "Good." He smiled and leaned down to kiss you.
