Last To Know

Part 12

    "Wake up, beautiful." Nathan whispered in your ear the next morning gently waking you up. You lay up in bed and smile at him. He kisses your cheek and picks you up. He spins you around the room before landing you softly on the ground.

    "I'm awake." You say.

     "Now." He says teasingly. "Breakfast is ready. And before you ask, we ordered it. As you might know already, I'm a terrible cook." He says and laughs. You did know that. You laugh, too.

    "Okay. I'm gonna take ashower first, though. Is that okay?" You ask.

   "Of course." He says. "But you have to pay ten dollars." He grins.

   You just laugh, get a towel, and go into the bathroom. When you're done in the shower and dressed, you brush your hair and put on some make-up before finding Nathan at the table.

     Tom says hi, as does Siva. Jay and Max are talking about something weird, you aren't sure what. You sit by Nathan and see what is for breakfast. Bacon, biscuits and gravy, and eggs from a resturant you really like. You smile.

    "I remember you said that this was your favorite breakfast on our first date." He smiles. You remember telling him about that. He wanted to know even the littlest things about you.

   "Awe" You say and laugh. How sweet is he? You think. You check your phone since you left it on the table. You unlocked it and saw that you had a new message from Alex.

    "Hey, can I ask you a question?" It said.

    "Sure." You text back.

   About a minute later Alex texts back. "Do you want to go to the movies with me and some friends tonight?"

   "What friends?" You ask.

    "You know them. That doesn't matter. Will you?"

     "Yeah." You text back.

    "Who are you texting?" Nathan asks.

    "Alex." You say and laugh.

   "I should've known." He joked. "What's she want?"

   "She wants to see if I will go to the movies with her and some of our friends tonight."

  "Oh." He says. he sounds disappointed. He looks to the floor. Does he still not want to leave me alone? You wonder.

    "I can ask if you can come?" You suggest.

   His eyes brighten up. "Thanks" he says. You laugh.

   You asked Alex and she said sure and that she doesn't mind. Plus, she wanted to meet him.

   "Can we come?" The others ask. "We're tired of planning. We want to get away for a while."

   "Yeah." You laugh. "And Jay," You say, turning to him. " I have a friend I want you to meet." You wink at Nathan. He knows that Alex really likes Jay.

   "Great." He says, smiling,

  When it was  time to go to the movies, you dressed up a little and you all went in three seperate cars. You, Nathan, in his, Max and Tom in Tom's, and Jay and Siva in Siva's. You guys met Alex and her friends at the theater and went in to get your tickets.

     She was right, it was poeple you know. They were your frineds, too. Piper, Kim, and Anabelle. No Penny. Thank God, you think.

  When the girls saw the lads, their jaws dropped. They were shocked. You laughed. You introduced all of them. You nudge Alex, whispering "Told ya Nath was mine." You winked at her and she gave you a look that said she was so sorry.

     She hasn't seen Jay yet, you realize. You grab Jay's hand and brought him over to Alex. He smiled at her and gave her ahug. She looked like she was about to faint. Just how I was with Nathan at first, you remember. You guys go in and get your tickets.

  Alex went in first, then Jay (wich made her smile so big), then you, Nathan (of course), Anabelle, Tom, Piper, Max, Kim, and Siva, taking up the whole row. Each guy shared a bag of popcorn with a girl who was obsessed with them, which made you laugh.

     When everyone was comfortable, the lights finally dimmed. Nathan took your hand and you looked at him. You could barely make his features out, but you didn't need to to know he was smiling at you. You smiled back. This night is perfect, you think to yourself.
